As someone who has watched this show about 17 + times I’m still seeing things that strike me as impressive story telling. In the opening scene of episode one you see an enforcer shooting someone point blank and then the scene starts to get scrambled and scratchy… That’s because this is powder’s perspective and that was her mother getting shot execution style in front of her. This causes her mind to start to break and hallucinate as she looks at the dead people around her. And another detail just from episode one is the cleaver reveal of what valuable currency looks like. When the kids are just about to get shook down for their haul, Deckard is rolling a somewhat silver coin in his hand. This becomes important in a coming up scene where Huck is getting scammed by two thugs and they show a bronze looking coin (Ofc bronze being a value that all league players are quite familiar with 😂). But the ability to show more information about the world and setting without directly explaining it with dialog, is something that I see this show do with absolute mastery. I wish other writers could replicate such remarkable storytelling.
People always miss or forget that Powder's been mentally afflicted well before the big events. I always loved that its been hinted/shown with both the scratch's and a upcoming break down scene.
With Powder throwing the load I was thinking about the fact that she like 9 or 10. She can't outrun him (she's cornered), she can't fight him she's young and weak, he could quite literally kill her or worse (SA). All she could do was distract him with the valuables and try and disappear (Like the John mulaney money clip joke). You guys where nice and chill and understood she's a kid and I love that. A lot of other reactors expected a kid to beat up a near adult and get upset when she doesn't and throws the load (they're to use to superhero kids in cartoons). They value the haul over the poor kid. I would be glad if my little sibling choose themselves over some junk. Quite literally the fight wouldn't have happened if Mylo shut up and Vi listened to Claggor and didn't resort to violence.
Season 2 is gonna drop in November! They will continue making TV/film production with Fortiche (the studio who made Arcane) and hope to announce something by end of year, but that much is still TBD. There's plenty of Cinematics and lore videos you could get into also. League content goes really deep if you enjoy the world, and there is plenty of it. They've also confirmed Arcane is now canon, so if you enjoy this story, you can explore more in the character bios etc and see how stories relate! And you guys mentioned games, yep! As of right now, Riot has League of Legends - the 5v5 MOBA most people know it for (and people will tell you to stay away from) Teamfight Tactics - A board-style game where you roll for different champions and items, then you move your champion's on the board and they auto-battle the enemy each round. (Someone can probably explain this one better) Legends of Runeterra - A very easy-to-enter card game. You can play PvP or PvE with story-type progression. This game serves as great lore & art for the world of League also. LoL Wild Rift - League, but for phones. That's it. They also have a few spin-off games (also lore heavy and follow a few champions in certain regions of the world) under the studio Riot Forge. I believe most of them are on console? I know PC/Switch for most of them. Hope you guys enjoy the world! Great reaction as well :)
You talking about old cinematic Ekko with the Mohawk before the new design change huh? 😂 I actually personally design this poster and added every image seperately. Like I said my brother's been playing and talking to me about league for the past 6 to 8 years and i watched all the cinematics a couple years before the show released 😅
@@derekwallsjr-tj6mb Naw bro were paying attention lol. This is just an edited video that cuts out none talking and focuses on our reactions/ commentary.
Awww yeah, two more people who have no idea what they're getting themselves into... and one who has a BIT of an idea.
14:50 "I think I'm attracted to her" was real of him lmao
😂🤣
Its the "i think" that gets me 😂
"She was trying toerc him" underrated comment. Everyone else is punching and Powder is escalating to explosives with shrapnel.
Damn! 😂
You're in for one hell of a ride here.
LMAO Not Silco curling his lash 😂
😂😂

There's so much amazing lore to draw from and honor that I'm glad and amazed they did this in a way that made hardcore and new fans appreciate it!
