Tensions continue to simmer at the UCT

Tensions continue to simmer at the University of Cape Town.
This follows a stand-off between members of the university council, where a motion to instigate an independent probe was blocked by some members.
Issues range from departures of senior staff members to the sabbatical by vice-chancellor Mamokgethi Phakeng, following reports of alleged mismanagement.
