    I did almost 2 years in the C's Shasta Pacific. I worked the SRP program, beach grass burn and fire control. Also did spike outside Ft. Brag cutting cutting wood. I left Leggett a Green Hat. 😁

      When u come from a place where ghetto birds, police brutality, murder, daily shootings, funerals, ect just to name a few , are the norm...the CCC is a peace of mind

      When they turned you down for a job offer because you have a disability, you have no choice but to get the lousy job they get to you like a janitor.

    God dammit, I needed something like this when I was still young. I did 15 years of amphetamines and i took me until i was 32 to realize I had a problem. It seems the group has a good vibe going also. Not bad for spending 24/24hr 7 days straight in the woods... I have said it before, I admire the work (nature & community) you get done, John from CCC. The world would be such a different place if more people would be like you.

    how often do you have to go on spikes? like once a month, once every few months..?

    • @GriffWild
      @GriffWild  8 лет назад +1

      on aIt depends on where you are stationed. All CCC centers go on different amount of spikes. And each year is different. The residential centers go on a lot of spikes. Ive only gone on a few in the last 12 months, but that's unusual. I have averaged about 6 to 10 a year.

      Shit yeah right. Yeah they pay you less but you get some free time to yourself. At the Ccc they micromanage you and you can’t do shit alone. You have to use the “Buddy system “ plus they wanted me to move huge ass boulders I quit I was like Nah I’m cool

      The Job Corps is job training. The CCC is a full-time job.
