It may sound obvious but you have to get used to the accent. Try to look for people who speaks the accent on the internet, it can be an interview of a famous or anyone else who has an RUclips channel, podcasts and so on, anyone who speaks "it." So from your home you will find a way to keep "in contact" with everybody who has this accent, practicing your hard your listening before going to the streets and facing everybody... Spend a lot of time listening it. No one is good enough in what they do little.
I already knew about that Cristiano Ronaldo's interview, teacher. Well, I used to be really worried with the accent matter, ok, I still prefer to sound more kind of British, but know I care much less about it, because my focus is on reach the fluency. Every day in the morning I listen to some podcasts, I organized my routine to get to my goal as soon as possible, using those two sites you've mentioned many times, the "British council" and "ESL Lab."
