This is SO cute. I've never made a junk journal before, but you've inspired me!
25 years to 45 years is classic. 50 years to 99 years is vintage. 100 years or older is antique.

Awww thanks, I have soooo many patterns and ideas but not enough time to play around! I did the same to try and figure out how to use them best :)

The "vellum" is an acetate quilt pattern. The girls are good to use for handkerchief paper doll cards. Great idea. I've good tons of those advertisement pages from old magazines from 50s and 60s.

I think the quilting pattern is produced by laying the vellum on the spot where you want the design and then cinnamon is "pounced" on the vellum so it goes through small holes of tge design and onto the fabric.

Oh I am so happy to have come across your site . I absolutely loved your journal. I have been looking at junk journals for at least 2 years and never came across yours , I particularly like any and all that have to do with old fashion or patterns and really liked your style . I hope you never gave up because of few viewers or subscribers. . You got it girl .......this journal is SUPER...... If you stopped ..."Go Back " This is note worthy and beautiful. That is a seller , so make more and find a way to sell them, I truly mean that. .. If I saw that in a store I would buy that ! Based on my KNOWLEDGE I would make more and every morning when I get up I would look in the mirror and say " Thank you for my creativity , these are going to fly off the shelves".... Just do that ... trust me !!!....... Colleen!

I just got 2 boxes full of older sewing patterns and now I need some ideas of what to do with them. Loved your journal. I have also been saving pages from The Workbasket magazine so was happy to see what you did with them.

I like how you decoupaged the tissue sewing pages to your journal. I haven't seen that before.
Did you decoupage over the pattern cover, also?
