  • A couple of my recent uploads were from bird hide shoots. I was shooting high ISO in low light. So how come my images don't show noticeable noice? In this video I do a short tutorial to explain how I treat the images from my Lumix G9 to get a clean final photography.

Always good to see how you get such great images from mft, it convinces me to stick with it when I sometimes get tempted to switch to mirrorless full frame. Looking forward to more videos.

Excellent info. I use both the GX8 and G9 and sometimes struggle cleaning up high IS0 images. This should save me some time. Thanks.

Nice video. It might save me buying a noise reduction program. Thanks.

Thank you a very informative and well explained video of your Lightroom noise reduction work flow. I agree that high ISO is possible with the G9 providing you expose to the right on the histogram. Under exposure is a world of pain for post RAW processing. Have you had a chance to try the DXO Photolab 4 Deep Prime noise reduction? I have had some impressive results.

I have not used DXO no. I do have the Nik Effects plugin's and there is a noise treatment plug in, but I find the LR workflow to be better and easier.

@@JonBryantPhotography Try the free trial, DXO Deep Prime noise reduction is impressive. I also found the DXO colour science better than lightroom and the DXO lens corrections for Panasonic/Olympus lens combinations are excellent.

Another great video (wish you'd make more). Have you tried Topaz? Its transformed my Lightroom.
