  • The battle of Happy Valley in Tunisia in 1942. The cocky, green US tankers tested their tanks and their nerves against German panzers for the first time.

    A wonderful table. I really like these historic encounters. Your game was great fun to watch. Tanks are very fickle with just one shot. When firing infantry there are lots of shots so you are likely to hit something. Thanks for another great video.

    Enjoyed your report, keep up your historical commentary, very informative. Looking forward to seeing a Chain of Command game as well. Have seen a few but you add an extra component, that is passion. Makes all the difference.

      Check out Martin, Svein, and Friends (Norwegians) who do Bolt Action but show the dice rolling, the maneuvering, the firing, etc., what you'd call almost a filming of the entire game. Their outfit is called TableTopBattle on RUclips. Their technology division is top-notch; of course, they've got some pretty good backing and equipment ... and time to do the editing, etc.

    After seeing the forces, I had a prediction in my head that the Germans would lose one tank and two half tracks and the Americans would lose four tanks. I was close with German losses but underestimated the number of hits the Germans would score. Was remaining stationary the key factor?

    • @TexasBoltAction
      @TexasBoltAction  5 лет назад

      Mark Cole i think the -1 to hit for inexperienced US tanks, almost total lack of cover for the US was key. The Germans missed a lot of shots though!

      Have you checked Rubicon (USA or UK) or some of even Blitzkrieg Miniatures? I cannot remember which vendor has them but I do recall seeing them available for sale on one of their websites.
