      Afrimedia An opinion is far from "Beef". But I hear u. I never said anything about new songs all being crap. I love Patoranking and the Wande coal song "My Woman". As long as the song has substance, of which only few new ones do.

      These kinds of statements I always have to disagree with. An artist is an artist, if they choose to explore other genres let them because what they are doing is expressing themselves with their art. This music is so refreshing, trust me I know... But there's a crowd and mood for every song,

And even when the "SUGAR DADDIES" come asking her out, she still chose not to be carried away by the apparent affluence of them Sugar daddies........SO SHOUT OUT TO OUR ORENTES

    For those asking "Orente" simply means "DAMSEL" ........You're welcome :D

    • @FroMaestro
      @FroMaestro 8 лет назад +5

      +DanTemmy it's a really ancient Yoruba word isn't it? Cuz I'm here completely unable to break it down... Is it made up of any smaller words, or is it a whole term by itself that means 'damsel'/'girl'/'babe' lol

    • @TCt83067695
      @TCt83067695 8 лет назад

      +FroMaestro is it really Yoruba? i have never heard that word like ever. i thought maybe it was a igbo name

    • @Laykay01
      @Laykay01 8 лет назад +53

      +DanTemmy 'Orente' doesn't just mean "Damsel". That translation is too loose. Yoruba is a very rich language. 'Opeke', 'Omoge', 'Sisi', 'Orente' etc. are all synonyms for a young beautiful woman or damsel but they don't convey absolutely the same nuance. 'Orente' is used to describe a beautiful young lady that is SHORT or SMALLISH. You can't call a tall lady (no matter how beautiful) 'orente'. If you are in doubt about who to call 'orente'...look at his love interest in this video. She is the archetypal 'orente'.

    • @FroMaestro
      @FroMaestro 8 лет назад +12

      Laykay thaaaaaank you. Finally, a translation that jives with how I've seen it used. Orente --> 'small and cute', 'short & sweet' etc.
