I had this dashcam for about 2 years. Now my dashcam says "Please insert TF card" although the SD card is in the device. I checked the SD card on my laptop and it was functioning. Is my device broken? If it is, how do I fix it? Thanks
what about audio? i have the exact same camera and it doesnt record audio at all, even though the setting to record audio is on. I can't find anything online to fix it.
I made a mistake bought the nuvi n2pro for 250 Canadian. This camera does the same job for like $70. Oh well research is a must before buying anything. Used the Garmin 45 and 55 versions they are garbage because they dont record the plates of the car infront of you.
Sometimes plates are not visible because of the angle of shooting; you may try with a different location on the windshield - and it may get better. And it's true - there's not much of a difference between a $70 dashcam and $400, with exception of the software and support.
Recording starts automatically with the car engine start; And you can use voice commands for extra functionality. Loop recording is of course there by default.
HELP! I have a Cadillac DTS (modern car with power outlets) and have installed this cam correctly. However, when I start the car the cam usually does not turn on automatically- I have to remember to press the button on the cam. How do I fix this? The company is not returning my messages.
If these power outlets have power supply all the time - this may be the reason. Try opening the app - there is an option to choose the kind of behavior depending on the power source.
May I know why I cant find the videos recorded or pictures taken by this dash cam in the in-app album ? It doesn't store there, or there is something wrong with either the SD card or the device itself ? The SD card is new tho. Thank you in advance.
Often it is because you haven't granted the needed app permissions; The other possibility is that it doesn't record anything. Can you open some of the files when attacking the microSD card to a PC?
@@TechMishka Tryied, didnt work. Funny that with the engine ON, if I pass throw a hole, the cam start record a emergency video, because of the vibration... But with engine off, I can shake the car and it doest record.

I had this dashcam for about 2 years. Now my dashcam says "Please insert TF card" although the SD card is in the device. I checked the SD card on my laptop and it was functioning. Is my device broken? If it is, how do I fix it? Thanks
Try to blow inside the hole - could be some dust in there. I'd check with another MicroSD card too.
@@TechMishka thanks. I'll try
Hi. Can it connect to the phone and then view it live thru the phone and not as a recording?
Yes, but footage will look choppy.
Can you leave an hotspot in car and watch it remotely live thru the app from anywhere?
what about audio? i have the exact same camera and it doesnt record audio at all, even though the setting to record audio is on. I can't find anything online to fix it.
If factory reset doesn't help - might be that the mic is not working.
Looks good but would have been better if it had a dual cam
You may check the Blueskysea B2w then. ruclips.net/video/-agfle2atG0/видео.html
can i view the real-time footage of the dashcam while i'm just home(with internet connection) and the car/dashcam is somewhere 100km away?
You can't. For that purpose you will need a Dashcam with SIM-suppprt.
@@TechMishka thanks!
Recording only begin by voice command n gsensor only? Will it able to records continuously loops recordings?
Recording starts automatically with the car engine start; And you can use voice commands for extra functionality.
Loop recording is of course there by default.
Can 1S be synchronised with 70mai smart pro to enable forward and rear cams? Thanks
Not sure about that.
i just wondering.. can this dashcam use as webcam on pc ?..
You can't.
Hi, how do you playback the video?
Take the MicroSD outm copy the files to a computer and play with VLC media player for instance.
Hi, thanks for the video! can insert a memory card of 128 gb in the dahscam 70 Mai ?
no maximum 64
can you plug the micro usb into your car usb port to charge the cam instead of using the cigarette car charger?
Of course. Just the output at usb needs to be 5V 1A
How to solve the solid green light issue? I tried to reset but still come back solid green will not turn blue color
I believe the green one means that the device is working fine.
Tech4All thanks for your response. What is the specific app setting?
May I know why I cant find the videos recorded or pictures taken by this dash cam in the in-app album ?
It doesn't store there, or there is something wrong with either the SD card or the device itself ? The SD card is new tho. Thank you in advance.
Often it is because you haven't granted the needed app permissions; The other possibility is that it doesn't record anything. Can you open some of the files when attacking the microSD card to a PC?
Can you connect multiple smartphones to the dashcam?
Haven't tried with more than one... 🤨
What is battery is made of?
Batteries
@@airportdocumentaries what kind is a capacitor or Lit
@@User-is2kf It's not a capacitor
It is li-based. Not sure if it is Li-Po or Li-Ion
Capacity is 240 mAh
I just hooked mine up and it just says battery low, plug in cord...which it already was.
Sounds like a cable issue. Try to connect to another power source/cable.
I know this is late but can I use a 128gb or 256gb micro sd
Not late at all. 128 is the max as far as I remember
My collision sensor doesn't work. Already selected for the highest sensitivity and nothing ... Any tips?
Try a factory reset.
@@TechMishka Tryied, didnt work. Funny that with the engine ON, if I pass throw a hole, the cam start record a emergency video, because of the vibration... But with engine off, I can shake the car and it doest record.
How did you hide the power cable ?
There was little empty space between the interior area and the roof, so ... I used it
Just installed mine and set it to auto off after 20 min, but when i returned to the car a hour later it was still recording. Any advice?
Could be that the car cigar lighter socket has uninterrupted power supply. But - more likely is that you've enabled parking mode, and opening the car's door caused vibration big enough to power the camera back on.
@@TechMishka it didnt power off at all. It just continued to record the whole time. Yest the cig plug has uninterrupted power but I thought thats the 20min off option was for.
Isnt it good that it records when youre not in the car though?
which of the xiaomi dash cam is the best currently?
Hard to say. I still like the 70Mai Pro best.
Love video. Is the memory card mandatory?
Yes, you need to use one.
So u need hotspot to use it ???
No, you can connect to its hotspot to download the footage
Great review indeed! Actually I have a problem when I purchased two 70mai1s in overseas and bought to be used in UK. however I discovered that the app doesn’t support to be used in UK.now I’ve the cams but can’t be used🥺 I want to find solution on this? Can you help?
This is weird indeed... Try to change the location settings temporarily on the phone just to activate. Most Xiaomi phones can do it.
@@TechMishka thx for getting me back. actually i've tried to change location of my iPhone but the app still need the exact location where I'm and finally it doesnt work... wonder if there's another app version in additions to "70mai (Worldwide)" that allows users from overseas to use the equipment?
hey, i got a 70mai model MD01, and i've got ot for like 2 yeara now, and for bout 3 months, my dash cam everytime i open / close car, it ask to activate cam:"70mai dascham, please activate the device by conecting to cellphone " like every time. anybody knows how i can get ir back to normal ?
Sounds like a chipset issue or something loose in the camera. Does it still have warranty?
good review, what is the difference between 70mai and 70mai 1s?
In short - parking mode, the sensor and the AI commands (a little).
Does it have parking mode? I'm getting conflicting information from everywhere. Will it record if it detects a collision when the car is parked? If yes, how long do you think the internal battery will last if the parking mode is kept on? I'm asking because my car is rarely used and is parked in an collision prone location. Thanks a lot!
It will record a video if the g-sensor detects a move. Meaning that you may miss the actual - because the camera is triggered by it and takes a couple of seconds to start recording;
An emergency video has the length of the regular video - it may be 1, 2 or 3 minutes long.
Great review.
My only complaint is having to manage the camera via Wi-Fi. I wish it had a Bluetooth option.
I paid just over $30 US, so all in all it is a great affordable option.
Enjoy using it!
Agreed! That was the first thing I noticed when setting it up, I can't connect to my car wifi and dash cam wifi simultaneously. A bluetooth option would've been perfect.
hi will the cam auto start up when car engine is on?
Yes, it will.
My video images changed to reddish color when I left my car outside when it was so hot. What should I do? My sd card is ok no problem but my dashboard. Thanks so much.
Hm, that's weird. Could be the heat, or could be a hardware issue.
So it only starts recording after an accident?
In parking mode - yes.
