    My heartfelt Appreciation & Gratitude for your educational video on this topic 🙏
    We have been using different types of gas stoves for the past 5 years and each time the flame turned yellow, I tried looking for service/repair but no one seems to be interested. We finally invested in Rinnai double gas stove (supposedly a very reliable brand) but the same problem occurred after around 1 year. The thought of changing another gas stove (costing a couple of hundred RM) can be a pinch in the wallet!
    We had tried adjusting the air-flow valve but to no avail. Today after watching your video, I was determined to give it one last try before purchasing another unit.
    I tried cleaning the air-flow steel conduit but still uneventful result. So, my last resort, I flushed it with water (after noticing there was an open outlet).... the water discharged was slightly brownish, and after another 2 rounds of flushing... the discharge was clear. Then, Voila!.... the flame returned to normal blue, without yellow flames!
    Thank YOU once again for helping us SAVE money and educating us on DIY matters 👍

    After following your video guide, found the air adjuster and adjusted the flame. Say bye bye to black bottom pots and noticing that soup boils slightly faster. I guess it is much more efficient now.

    Yellow is unburned gas because of not enough air. Needing a cleaning/spider webs can cause this low air mixing in the piping so maybe clean first before adjusting a previously adjusted unit. Jumping off the burner or blowing out blue flames is too much gas.

    Hi, I'm from the UK; my gas hob is burning with the correct blue flame, but tonight it started to have an unusual smell. (It is Not rotten eggs) It is like it was burning a more crude type of gas...all four burners are the same. Have you any suggestions ? Thanks.

    I bought a brilliant cooker I like it because I can sit a wok in it and it has large and single burning flames I already took the first one back because when I turn it on the flames comes out on the each side. Big flames. How can I disconnect the igniter so as to only use lighter or matches.

    • @KakiDIY

      Yes.. probably stuck because of rust or gunk. WD40 is safe.

    • @KakiDIY

      Yeah. Sadly some stove can’t. Or some are via adjustment nuts inside the burners. E.g. Electrolux ones, it’s on their user manual

    A gas stove with a rubber pipe and an improvised fitting inside that rubber pipe to make it fit on to an fitting that is then clamped on with a hose clamp?? Seriously first of all those clamps are not safe as they break. Second a rubber pipe that can melt? And on top of that another rubber hose to make that outside hose smaller to it fits onto an fitting? Maybe u should make a video on this one and how unsafe it is to do this kind of thing.

    • @KakiDIY
      @KakiDIY  Месяц назад

      Those were standard gas hose and the clamp and connector came with the stove.
      Unless you are saying the stove manufacturer should not Include them in the first place
