@@professor1262 Still going strong, had some minor sensor issues, but no major problems! I drive it in all weather including heavy snow and it is up to the task. I do live in an area with steep hills, and occasionally the DSG seems to have issues deciding which gear to go into on a big hill, so sometimes I put it in the manual sequential mode so it doesn't suddenly spike the rpm. Overall however, there haven't been any major costly issues or repairs, (oil sensor was only a few hundred) and I'm proud of how its held up after about 20,000 miles. (Currently has 56,000 I believe and bought at 36,000ish)

I'm looking to get into a used car. I saw one of these at carmax for a low mileage of 20k. How reliable are they? I only know about hondas and toyotas.

Krizia Francisco Volkswagen is reliable as long as they’re taken care of. You can’t give them hell like Toyota and Honda and expect it to keep going. Volkswagen’s are VERY VERY sensitive in terms of what you do to it. Most people that don’t know shit about cars will trash them but my family has owned VW all of our life and they’ve never done us wrong. All the way from the MK1 to MK6

Thanks for informative information! I definitely want to make sure I do my homework before buying a car I never owned before. Appreciate it!
