David Straight Now you tell me, lol. I didn't know how to deal with it, my experience with clay like that is that it clogs everything up and takes way more water than I had access to to clean. How would you mine that particular clay? I'd love to know, it isn't the first time or location I've run into it.
AlienAmerican.net The wash box in your power sluice high banker should be designed differently to effectively wash this type of clay. you could do it in a five gallon bucket with a paint mixer on a good 1/2 drill to turn it into more of a liquid then dump it in. I've mined for 40+ years and have encountered a lot of bad clay also.
