I was skeptical at first when I joined the server if I would fit in with everyone, but oh boy this community is so incredibly nice, there hasn't been a single restart where everyone I've encountered wasn't respectful, helpful or just fun to play with. I havent played much of the earlier campaign so I have more rounds in Vietnam than in the other campaigns. This is so much hard earned fun. I reall enjoy not having a GPS, it makes for a much more challenging gameplay and I feel like we're all adjusting to the changes very well. Not to be critical of any gameplay, this is more for the developers. Those triple canopy jungles get pretty dark even in broad daylight. Immediately around you you can see sure, but a distances of 30 feet it gets pretty dark with all the shadows making it perfect for hidey holes, ambushes and booby traps. I never went to Vietnam, but I did spend time in the jungles in Panama. Definitely and eye opening experience.

vietnam is such a blast, not having a GPS or anything is so much fun, quick story Got left behind in a bunker at one of the OBJs, RTO had left, 5 members of the squad left the bunker to rescue 3 guys from 1-3 (we were 1-2) and never came back. There were 5 of us (4 from 1-2, 1 from 2-1) and we were surrounded. I got put in charge of getting back to the OBJ since we were just infront of it. While getting back to the OBJ we lost one man to enemy fire and soon realised no one was at the OBJ. Then realised they had moved to a different OBJ 2km away from us. We decided to attempt to move there with only 4 guys, in an area surrounded by enemies. We were following the river when i spotted a squad of about 8 enemies looking in the opposite direction from us. I quickly told everyone to not shoot and tried to think about a way to either get passed them or to take them out. We opted to go around them so we wouldnt get into combat. However someone had earplugs and was a little bit behind so didnt hear. He started firing at them while the rest of us were half way across the river which was only about 10-20m from the VC squad. We rushed across trying not to get hit and trying to get to cover. One man went down just as he got to the tree i was at, while attempting to give him care the VC started moving to the left and right, getting angles on me behind the tree and i finally went down for one last time. One man was still standing, and while attempting to carry me he got shot, he dropped me, fired back and a minute later he tried dragging me back, but finally his luck ran out and the last man of the 5 man team went down. Most fun shit ive done in a game
