I played this guitar over a year ago and it was one of the best 'feeling'guitars with an awesome tone that I have played (it was my mates' guitar - he happened to be selling it). Trust your instinct, not the brand name. I still love and use my Doozies for everything - don't worry. This was nice for a change though.

Jay I've got to ask you, what's the difference between your blue and black Dusenbergs? I went online to their website and they seem to be the same, as far as i can tell anyway, but im just strating out with my journey to learn to play the electric guitar so im not totally up on the details yet. I know the diff between humbuckers vs single coil, strats, tele,s and les paul etc but thats about it mate. Thanks in advance and by the way all of your videos are topnotch dude!

Hey buddy happy to answer your questions:
1. It really depends on the song - Usually between 10 - 15 minutes. My best tip on developing your ear is singing what you are playing (also listen to each song heaps - I can now isolate drums / bass / guitar etc as long as I concentrate on that instrument)
2. I've been playing for 7 - 8 years.
3. I have a full time job =)

Price isn't a problem? Not really. Both the Doozies have such a different tone and feel - so they aren't the same. I'm super happy with this Epiphone.

Even past the point of being a beginner, if you end up liking the guitar, you can always swap for better electronics and tuners. I have an Epiphone Les Paul that I put new pickups and tuners on and it's great.

And I like Gibson Les Paul very much, how it sounds, but I don't have so much money, so I'm going to by Epiphone Les Paul Standard. Is it worthy guitar for beginner/for doing covers? Please, give me advice. In your video Epi souded amazing(Can I reach the sound of your Epi or sound close to it with Epi Standrt? If yes then Epi suits me very well. Have you changed something in it?
