Pink Floyd - Hey You (With Lyrics)

- Опубликовано: 5 окт 2024
- Hey You by Pink Floyd, the fourteenth track of The Wall.
The Wall is a rock opera, telling the story of Pink, a man who builds a metaphorical wall around him, isolating him from the rest of the world.
Already Pink is regretting his Wall, trying to call out to people on the other side.

2023 and still listening
It is the right song for the winter. Dark, cold, melancholic...
Thee best music ever played in the world
.......aaaand it's winter again.
It's not the song which is "dark, cold, melancholic" - it is the world which the song depicts. The song opposes this world, also by being its very opposite: enlightening, warm and passionate, empathetic, responsible, hopeful...
I'm 61 and Pink Floyd's music will never age. It only gets better with time. Just like Mozart or Bach🎵🌠🧚♀️🦄💥

2:00 Simply put, one of the most heart-tugging, hair-raising and (simultaneously) paralyzing guitar solos of all time. I say "paralyzing" because you just sit your butt down and just listen.
The solo in Dogs is equally as paralyzing as well, absolutely love this
i love how in the solo you can hear another brick in the wall tunes

Hey you, out there in the cold
Getting lonely, getting old
Can you feel me?
Hey you, standing in the aisles
With itchy feet and fading smiles
Can you feel me?
Hey you, don't help them to bury the light
Don't give in without a fight
Hey you out there on your own
Sitting naked by the phone
Would you touch me?
Hey you with you ear against the wall
Waiting for someone to call out
Would you touch me?
Hey you, would you help me to carry the stone?
Open your heart, I'm coming home
But it was only fantasy
The wall was too high
As you can see
No matter how he tried
He could not break free
And the worms ate into his brain
Hey you, out there on the road
Always doing what you're told

I'm 64 and introducing my grandchildren to Pink Floyd. Never gets old
That's amazing💕
I'm 15 and my parents introduced me to Pink Floyd when I was little❤️
I had been depressed for over 4 years, leading up to February 2018, ever since my grandmother died at Christmas 2015. Couple that with the overwhelming days of high school, my raging hormones, and feelings of never being good enough, almost drove me to suicide by hanging. But after hiding my emotions for so long, I decided to stay alive and got help. Ironically, this dark, depressing album kept me around. Do not let your depression control you, you are special whoever you are, wherever you are. There is hope.
"Don't tell me there's no hope at all" there is

Боже мой (omg), that sounds a lot like.... me...... and all the things I experience in life that have made me isolate myself.... eerily enough......
In the end of the album, the society had his wall torn down (listen "The Trial") but instead of being destroyed and outclassed by that, Pink found all of is loved one waiting for him outside (listen "Outside the wall"). So in the end, even from a pretty dark discomfort, there is still some hope left if you search for it. Sorry for my bad english btw

This was my Father’s favorite song and he would always blast it as he takes me to my lessons to prepare for my SAT’s and we would look at each other and share a second that even back then I know it was so special... he died due to a sudden heart attack on my first day of college .. it has been 4 years now but I still come here and close my eyes and just go back to that exact second.
Together we stand, divided we fall 🤍
What a way to honour your father's soul. I'm so sorry for your loss man. Death is inevitable and we humans are just desperate.... People come and go that's life and it sucks unfortunately... what's important is that what we leave behind after death , and how people remember us. May god bless his soul
May his memory be a blessing 💫

I have s son with a serious mental illness. He said this song and many other of Pink Floyds songs expresses the struggles many times he has.
I truly hope that someday in my sons lifetime there is recovery to a point he can function and exists in a society that doesnt understand those struggles. He is 44 and sits in the now mental health care institutions, prisons and jails. He never gives up hope. He amazes me the strength he has, he keeps on a tickin' with the lickin's society is kickin' him.

What the deep meaning of this sentence
Well, the story is of a man named Pink who wants to reclaim his sanity that's lost. I think he's reaching out to his wife to accept him back, but the sad part is that she's left him and cheated on him, i believe. @user-tt2ml9kc5m

d3thron3d Its not the music, its the fans or choosers.
The reason there is no music like this today is because no one is trying to make music like this and or the fans arent reaching out to bands like this. some bands are like this but Verrrrry rare and mostly the bands are old not new. nirvana was probably the last of classic rock. although they restored rock to its position after 6 or 7 years of MOST rock being pop like. but now one of us is gonna have to do what nirvana did.
If kurt cobain never killed himself there would probably be more rockish bands out there. and now there is just heavy heavy hard rock now a days.
