@jeremyduke4938 that's cause toss has to have multiple different types of units. Getting wraps. Hoping to get the opponent to mess up. Zerg just goes zergling and can win with that late game. Toss is so under powered rn.

After watching this I realized how inhuman Serrel is to be able to control the Zerg a whole lot better in this game.
Same feeling ("a whole lot better /than Scarlett/ in this game")
Although it's a bit rough on Scarlett. I get it, he is the goat. One of the reason is that even us can tell he is so much better than someone who is so much better than us.
Still, I hate you for "writing out loud" what I thought too.
No doubt if I were to meet any of them, I would be fanboying HARD like "it's FUCKING Scarlett" or "it's FUCKING Serral". I love them both. So fuck you ;p

I swear this is the first time on your channel in a long time where a hypermaxed late game protoss army has taken down that of a zerg or terran.
"Even numbers are better than odd numbers" I very much disagree, all prime numbers but one numbers are odd, and primes are without a doubt the best numbers.

I made it to the end and enjoyed every minute of it.
When you do that proxy you have to send a drone from your main to the proxy halfway through it building. You can plant a spine crawler or mine those minerals put faster.
A skytoss late game winning? It's a thing I don't see often.

It wasn't pure skytoss. The army value was like half air half ground. with archons and high templars. Pure airtoss will never win.

Astrea's use of the crevice to zone scarlet away on the top base is what I think allowed him to win the game. Thats mainly how he got so much value from his tempests imo

Was kinda cute how you tried to cover up saying "Gold" instead of "Gas" by repeating the same with Dollars :D
I think it would have been extremely interesting if she put spine crawlers just out of visual range of the protos on the low ground in that first game proxy. Would have caused quite a second guess out of Astrea I would thing.

as a spectator in the last game i was feeling scarlet too, like it was desperate situation but man she's such a pro not committing to a fight. I would and lost around 15 minutes before the video ended
mannn really hoped she would commit those lings to counter attack to natural or main, just nibble some structures, that gotta force some of the army back home

Been watching sc2 awhile..scarlet, celebrity status. Followed by serel Maru hero marine dream and the rest of the greats..
That moment when you realize your only 15 minutes into a 60+ minute video and the BO3 is already 1-1.

Hatchery (300) + 3 overlords (300) + queen (100?) + several zerlings and drones + mining time.
I would say that it was well over 1000 resources lost versus a few adepts, and still she had a massive advantage...
That weird proxy hatchery on game nuber 3 got 3 revelations out of the oracles wich is a lot of energy that could have been spent on killing lings, so maybe was worth it?
Recently a lot of close Protoss games on Lowko's channel have had the Toss player lack any sort of patience. It was nice to see Astrea be patient at the end of game three. Sure it was slow for the viewer at times but that is how it is supposed to be done. Just take the wins and keep building in that situation. A lot of protoss players seem to be too hasty to jump and try to win when they should solidify their advantage.
Cool game! Its nice to see some grindy PvZ late game that ends with a protoss win. Looking forward to the tempest turn speed/mothership changes to hopefully spice it up a little.

i feel like they should improve the zerg late game units, take away power from their casters and most importantly, QoL to the vipers
but i dont play anymore, i just watch pro games
Scarlett was doing so well until she just seemed to give up in the last game. The final 20-30 minutes she just kept getting shot without trying to hit back. Very frustrating, especially when Astrea screwed up twice on recalls and Scarlett could have jumped half the army with her whole force. So many opportunities to use the Vipers were just missed while Astrea's air artillery killed more and more zerg.
Yeah, I know, it's harder playing than watching, but the passivity of Scarlett at the end was awful! I was rooting for her to attack, but she just kept falling back, loosing more and more units.
How is Scarlett this consistent with her creep spread?? If serral was able to creep like this he'd be unstoppable lol.
Game 3 was a little painful. Protoss loses all map control at 24:00 and Zerg could easily have taken every expansion in the map. The game should have been over at that point, but instead we get 40 more minutes of turtling.
In game 3 it was pretty obvious that it was going to be airtoss win. As 1/3 zerg myself hahaha (stolen from winter) this hurts.

I wonder why Scarlett did not magicbox her corruptors. That would have neglected so much of the splash damage. The last fight was really awful.
Also, she was not active enough with her Vipers when she still had some.

@@july9566 they did have that briefly in past balance patch if I recall, it was op in the early game, and reverted.
Plus, if you're using ht, slow Zealot's don't charge into storm as much.
While being a USA guy myself i should by default cheer for Astrea, however i cant help but cheer for Scarlet and hope this is a win for her.

@50:36 you disagree with Scarlett attacking a base, but you know... someone had to do something, the game was in a stalemate. One side had to blink first. So I disagree that Scarlett made a mistake. She did it fairly safely with Broodlord's. Yeah she lost her base in the meantime as well, but what was she supposed to do? wait it out? The combats were going her way in the past, she was probably thinking she was going to force Astrea to commit, not to attack her own mining base, because in the past he seemed quite reactionary to what she was doing.
Pfffff - just GO FOR IT. It's a game, stop lying around. The win criteria is destroy the buildings, so do that. Stop just sitting there. If you lose, you lose. What's the point of just sitting around? Pointless.
Finally a protoss match. Tired of ZVT or TVT. Also, someone beat Serral already.

Question for everyone , I’m a noob in StarCraft 2, would a generalized Strategy of 3 base all in turtle Terran win most games ? Just long hold and drain out the enemy’s economy and slowly push ? Terran has the strongest long game units right ?
The problem with a strategy like that is that you allow your opponent to expand freely if you don't put any pressure on them. This, combined with the fact the other two races can generally expand faster than Terran can, means that you die before you ever reach late game
Well, everything can and will work on beginner level, but short answer, no. Your entire win condition is to hope your opponet slams his head against your wall, until he has no longer the minerals to defend against your superior tech. But since you give him freely all bases besides your three (also known as giving up map control), he has way more than enough minerals that it's gonna be you who is bleed dry. Especially against Zerg, who is naturally way better at snowballing their economy than Terran. Don't matter if he loses twice as many units, if he has 3 times as many ressources as you do.

From a perspective of watching and never playing... Zerg is annoying/boring cause the viper is a free steal 1 unit guaranteed kill specially on massive and large ships.
Basically goes like: Oh you're running (input unit) let me use my 3-5 vipers and steal these 3-5 (input unit) and instantly remove them... Now that your army is weaker by losing (input unit) my death ball of (Zerg unit) will now crowd onto yours with advantage
