Just a comment on floating stem plants, I like to start them in a tank with just 2 inches of water and let them put roots down into the sand then add water over time to raise the water level to full.
Thanks for a great livestream. This is the first one I've tuned into live. Appreciate you taking my question and introducing me to a whole bunch of fish that weren't on my radar. I might have to add a pair of Peacock Gudgeons to my 20. I'll keep tuning in!
Recently came back to the good ole 20g tall.. have some cherry shrimp, otocinclus, mystery snail, and a tiny bristlenose. Fairly heavily planted, it’s become my favorite. Cheers !
Love your show. There was a time I thought you were always angry at each other, but that was probably my own translation. Jason you are in two of my 5 favorite shows. The other channel that Joanna ,"Small Scaped," is one of the others. One thing Jason, let John off the podcast you two do. He seems to feel inferior to you. I truly hope he will stop worrying about his lack of Diploma. I watch your podcast because you both work together well. You guys are way.busy so thank you! Sending love from Western Canada.
Setting up a 75 gallon and I have 3 peacock gudgeons, 5 adolphi cories, 2 super red bristle nose, and 10 Pygmy cories. Think I’m ok to add more peacock gudgeons and adolphi cories or am I crowding the bottom?
My LFS has not only a whole male beta system rack but they also have a 20 long with about 10 females they call the beta sorority. They also have a group of 4 in a 10 gallon to show people that you can keep betta's as a community fish of done right. Once I get into my house I'll be setting up a betta sorority and a murder bean colony 🤣😛I've already started my Ramshorn snail breeding system for them. Thanks for all the advice. Ps. I would love a species profile on pea puffers if you ever get the chance.
hellllo i am tinfoil barb master !!!!!! I LOVE THEM SOO ' MUCH they are red tail tinfoil barb actuallly 12 inch andi think they will not become alot bigger

Very nice!
I wish I lived in Chicago to be able to take full advantage of a membership. That's too far from Kansas City for me.
BTW, You two ARE fun to watch.
Thank you!
One of these days I hope you will see me with a seine, knee-deep in a creek, collecting my own native fish. 🐟

John can be a very humble guy at times. He brings an incredible amount of knowledge and experience! So glad we have the podcast together!
May be off topic, but my cherry tetras are getting deeper color. Could a varied diet be the reason?
Could be. I have found them to get a deeper orange as they age too.

You could do that for sure!
Will you be at the southern Wisconsin fish swap held in cottage grove WI this Sunday?
Unfortunately no. We generally don’t have enough fish in stock to add an additional swap.

That Adolfo announcement was beyond shocking !
Will you be bringing fish to the Minnesota fish expo?
Unfortunately no - a little too far for us to bring fish.
What about pencil fish?
Definitely!
Nothing like watching the livestream and catch my rainbowfish spawning. Isn’t this the wrong end of the day?
😀
56:00 did she really think that was a guppy?
Green neon.
Why do these keep getting called L11a? Is it a US thing? Everywhere else they are L10a. Planet catfish doesn’t even recognise “L11a” as a thing
I agree. When I first got them that’s what they were called.
