I possibly figured out your floyd rose issue. The gold licensed Floyd Rose is looks to actually be a GFS Speed Loader Floyd Rose. Similar to the Floyd Rose ii from the 80s (which I use in two of my Kramer guitars), they are meant to be restrung like a traditional bridge and tailpiece and be single locking instead of double locking. The only difference is the GFS one has saddles designed to look more like the traditional double locking Floyd Rose saddles instead of what you get on a Floyd Rose ii. So if I’m right, you don’t need inserts in that bridge. Just string it through where the Allen key screws would go (there should be a hole where you would normally put the Allen key) and string it up. Let me know if this was the issue man! Love your vids!
Thanks man, help me reach a million subs, share my videos on your IG stories, Facebook page, however you can help! I’m a one man operation so I need all the help I can get!
I know im extremely late but go for it man!! Im 15 and decided to re-finish my Jackson Kelly with a white and black crackle and I dont regret a thing!!
@@sRichterMusic This guy actually does a crackle tutorial on his page but what i recommend is to sand it down and then from there do a decently thick layer of gold and do an equal or thicker coat of black crackle.
@@sRichterMusic i suggested the gold under because the brand he recommends doesn’t sell a gold crackle. I think the colors are black, white, copper, and green
@@AbandonedChurch okay thank you very much ! Watched the tutorial but unfortunately i don't have anywhere to paint in a well ventilated room. Guess i'll keep it for later haha
That was awesome bro!! Very well detailed!! It’s so awesome how you delve into making these beautiful guitars. There were a few things I learned today! Thanks Mark!!🤘🏻🎸
Man, my first proper guitar was a Jackson PS4! I played that thing for over 20 years and it was awesome! Then I "Frankenstein'd" it. Just the bridge pickup, which I swapped to a DiMarzio PAF-Pro, blocked off the Floyd, removed the paint and sprayed it matt white. It looks ugly as hell, scuffs and marks everywhere, not clean at all. But it still plays like butter. I have never had a guitar that was and is so easy to play with action so low you probably wouldn't believe it. I love this thing to pieces! :-)
I'm not gonna lie, I am super jealous of those gold EMG's. I bought the James Hetfield EMG solderless Pickup Set to go towards my '95 Japanese Ibanez RG-550R rebuild and it's so close to being finished. It just looks fantastic to say it's my first ever rebuild project. The only thing missing now is the Pickups themselves. Ordered them quite a long time ago now and they seem to have completely disappeared off the radar, not to mention the retailer I bought them from won't answer my emails about them anymore. So now I have an empty Guitar just kinda sitting there not doing much of anything and a pretty deep wound in my bank account. Big sad hours
Recent sub. And I HAVE to agree…there’s ALWAYS room for one more! Brought home an 84(?) Kramer Striker 100ST with the original floyd Rose (non locking) from the pawnshop. Black with factory grovers. Not sure what I’ll do to it yet.
saying "sometimes there can be problems with licensed floyds". make me chuckle. SOMETIMES??? never had one that stayed in tune or would set up properly. That's why I either stick to RG's w/ Edge trems, real Floyds, Schallers and sometimes Gotohs depending on my budget and what fits perfectly etc. And if you're into gold hardware so much, you can clean them up and actually repaint the black ones that you have
I love Iron Age killswitches. I saw that Limited Edition Berried Alive killswitch. I have one of those as well. Haven't installed it yet but I definitely will soon. Just found your videos and they're awesome
Thanks man! I wish I had another Berried alive switch, I sold the Hackson with it. I just made some GuitarGuts signature Killswitches that will be coming in some special colors too! They’ll be available in a couple weeks.
Dude I stumbled onto your show here on youtube, your custom builds are epic, really dig your style.... how much you charge for a build.... got an old Peavey I've had since high school that I'd like to be rebuilt...
Thanks so much! If you can help spread the word by posting it on your social media’s and pointing people this way, it would be a HUGE help!! I need all the help I can get spreading the word 😁🤘🏼
Thank you, I got another guitar coming with alien blood in episode 5 or 6 so kee watching! Subscribe, hit the notification bell and please share on social media!!
10:31 why didn't work it's because you're supposed to put the strings through the back of the Floyd Rose I had one of those and I suffered a lot of high E string breakage
hey guitar bro if you don't have a airbrush get one you can really do some cool detailed art like lightning and ghost flames i just got mine a few weeks ago i need to build my guitar collection up again but I can't sale them unless the offer is too good to pass up but if the guitar is set up just right for me that I can't get rid of because it's hard to find a guitar that talks to you.great videos keep the videos coming.
Man this is awesome! I’m new to guitar and just installed a new pick up for the first time with my dad. Surprisingly easy! We’re talking about sanding and painting it together next! Rock on 🤘 love your series!
I'm currently trying to pimp out my Japanese Jackson PS-4, and debating whether to keep the hardware black or go gold. I've looked at some mods on youtube, and in photos. I wasn't sold on gold at first. You're making me consider a second look. My PS-4 is all black, like the one you hacked the horn off of. What do you think? Here's a video of it. - ruclips.net/video/NJS7Q_FMfhA/видео.html

Had one like this on an old epiphone em2 from the 90s as well.
@Jedidiah Khari You're openly bragging about violating your girlfriends privacy? Wow. What a scum bag.
Great video, one of my favorite new guitar channels. I'm obsessed with gold hardware as well.
I love that your are doing this yourself. This is how people become successful.

brushed gold on a guitar is like granite kitchen tops - flipping guitars vs flipping houses...
thumbs up for a good build series

that gold licenced floyd is a speedloader design, you insert the strings from the bridge end
I would probably change a bit the lower horn "hackson" shape. To something more...modern, horn like a bit instead so flat one :D
Dude, sweet job. That same exact black Jackson PS4 was my first guitar. Replaced the Floyd, decked the middle PU. I woulda kept it black though.
Hey dude love these vids, great series and cool guitars! My only comment on it would be to get a pop filter for your voice overs

Why dont you just give the bottom horn some shape instead of hacking it off? Would look a lot better
