I have created a standalone App. but now I can't enter Edit mode and therefore can't change anything. How do I enter edit mode from the presentation screen??? I can't click on the background, because it is not visible in Presentation mode. Also toolbars are disabled. How can I send scripting commands to the sub-patcher to unlock the patch??? I have not found anything in the documentation. Please someone help!!!
Hi, I'm building an app for a uni project (I'm using Max 8 on Windows 10 64bit), and every time I turn on the audio, it turns off again and displays this error message: "addmme: unable to open wave input device." I figured out it was because of the mme driver in my computer so i changed the driver in the Audio Status Window to directsound on the original patcher, then i saved the patcher and rebuilt the application. The patcher's audio runs fine now, but on the application it still displays the same error, because apparently the app's audio is still running on the mme driver despite having changed the driver and saved the changes on the original patcher. Now for some reason i can't enable Audio Support in the [standalone] object either so i can't change the driver through Max Runtime. If anyone can show me a way to solve this issue, i'd appreciate it a lot :)
I believe this is not correct. I think you have to build on each OS, you can't just build/run an EXE Max standalone on Mac machines. And vice versa. Unless I'm mistaken and they added that functionality. It's always been that you need to build on each OS you want the end user to run it on.

I don't have windows running on parallels so how would I, without having windows, be able to create the Windows .exe?

the audio crackle is pretty nasty & distracting. the content of the video is very well made & is super helpful though!
Yes! Keep it going this is great!
is there any way to create just one exe?
Just to clarify - you’re demoing how build in Mac and windows, but once built - either of those should work on both platforms?
