I know this video is outdated, but I just wanna mention that the most effective combo IMO is to charm, hit them with the flying Q thing once and immediately E. Then proceed to spam the rest of Q. The E can do so much damaged when you do it while they're still charmed, especially when it's empowered.

What I like about her in teamfights is how you can hit a squishy with a full combo then disengage and try to find another opening once back in stealth. Shes so fun because pathways that are otherwise not smart to use, become possible for her. And its SO fun stalking someone through the jung just outside of that vision circle

evelynn is not just a diva, she's the queen of queens.
I think you might be playing her a little wrong. You want to burst and then retreat back into stealth for cooldowns, then look for burst again. Of course, this isn't always going to happen the way you want it to, but Eve is an opportunist above anything else. She wants to flank because it's so hard to get vision of her, and her Charm exerts a ton of pressure. She doesn't have the solo kill pressure that other assassins like Fizz or Talon have, but she is way harder to keep eyes on giving her a ton of target access, countergank potential, and flanks that other assassins can't get.
She really isn't that bad late game, all squishies have to have a ton of peel or else you are pretty much going to kill them provided you have good positioning when teamfights start opening up. If they are extremely tank heavy, going 40% cdr and building Liandry's still gives you presence, though any assassin is going to struggle against a lineup like that. You just got outdrafted in that situation, and you'll have to rely on your charm and map pressure to maintain pressure.
I've had a lot of success with her at around mid plat elo. You just can't play her like any other champion, she has a really unique pattern to how she interacts with the game compared to any other assassin, but creative thinking throws even higher tiered players off guard.
I've been a toplane main for most of my time playing league, and got up to d4 with it. In preseason, though, I decided to learn jungle, and made a fresh account on which I main Eve (eune.op.gg/summoner/userName=Evelyfe). So far, I am sitting in P2 at a 58% winrate on Eve and roughly 80-90k mastery. Here are my impressions on her.
She is an assassin that is heavily reliant on landing a layered, full combo on someone to kill them. The biggest difference between her and other assassins is how little damage she deals with incomplete combos. She also needs proper setup, so while able to easily jump on and kill assassins proactively, she usually loses out in fair 1v1s against assassins. This makes her pretty easy to invade for champions like Kha'Zix and Lee Sin, down to the point where your only real hope is to predict the movement of the enemy jungler and take your camps before they visit them.
She does have three advantages when it comes to clearing, though. 1. Because of your super-Garen passive, while you're not winning 1v1's in invades, you should always have enough health to work with in order to flash out of an invade engage. 2. You are one of the fastest junglers in the game at killing scuttle crabs, so always path in a way that lets you visit them early and often. It makes for quite a gold lead over the enemy jungler. 3. Doing your first clear leashless is not that much worse than doing it with a leash. Just letting you know in case your laners don't wanna help.
In terms of how she scales, it's a bit weird. You would expect an assassin to reach a midgame high point and then fall off. But that's not what happens. Because of how Eve itemizes (and I strongly recommend Pants are Dragon's build over anyone else's: Sorc Shoes, Chilling Smite Runic Echoes, Frost Queen's Claim, Protobelt, Liandry's, Void Staff. Do not take mobi boots, do not take lich bane, do not take challenging smite) your build synergizes with itself and increases in power in a non-linear fashion, such that you may be weaker than a 4-item champion in the midgame whilst you are also at a 4-item point, but your full-build form outscales quite a number of champions. You definitely outscale every single assassin in the game other than Kassadin.
In terms of runes, I personally use three different pages depending on comp/enemy comp. The first is primary domination: *electrocute*, sudden impact, eyeball collector, ravenous hunter; secondary precision: triumph, coup de grace. The second is primary domination: *dark harvest*, sudden impact, eyeball collector, relentless hunter; secondary sorcery: ultimate hat, celerity. The third is primary domination: *electrocute*, sudden impact, eyeball collector, relentless hunter; secondary sorcery: ultimate hat, celerity. I use the first runepage when the enemy team has safe champions who chill under tower, whether by preference or because they're getting pushed in. Stuff like Gangplank and Twitch. Eve is not very good at tower diving foo's, so the extra spellvamp from ravenous and triumph healing helps you out there. I use the second runepage when I am premade with my toplaner and my bot/mid won't collapse and die if I spend all laning phase camping top. Three successive ganks should break the game open and make it so dark harvest will do more damage on average than electrocute. I use the third runepage the rest of the time; it's the most vanilla. Runes to NOT take on Eve: don't take ghost poro/zombie ward (eyeball collector simply gives you too much bang for your buck. Evelynn does not receive a lot of AP from her build; even at full build, her items barely give her 340 AP. A fully stacked Eyeball Collector is effectively increasing her total AP by a minimum of 8.8%, even more if you fill it up before full build); don't take gathering storm (simply because of the alternatives. Celerity is simply too good period and ultimate hat is really good on champions with low-ish cooldown ults who don't buy a lot of cooldown reduction, like Evelynn); don't take anything from resolve ever (you are a T H O T, not a bich).
Oh, one last thing. In terms of who you can and cannot kill as Evelynn, the biggest thing you have to look out for is shields. You don't really care about resistances, you don't really care about health values. A full build Evelynn will do true damage to anyone at or below 105 Magic Resist (after Charm applied, see "Eve sucks at doing damage with incomplete combos") and can solo kill a 4500 health tank in a single spell rotation (again, provided they have 100-110ish magic resist, which they will if they have a single MR item, like a spirit visage or adaptive helm). In fact, it will be significantly easier for you to kill a tank with Spirit Visage/Adaptive helm than to kill a bruiser with Maw or Sterak, or sometimes even an adc with Maw, or Targon quest and overheal (Biggest advice I can give you if you want to main Evelynn: ban Vayne). It will also be easier for you to shred through an adc that has a Soraka support than one who has a Janna support, same thing really. This comes down to two reasons: how your E works and how your ult works. Your E is a percentage health move, so shields virtually raising it without effectively rising it screws you over. Your Ult is a two-tier execute, so instead of doing progressively more damage the lower health the target is, it abruptly doubles below 30%; again, things like Maw/Sterak/shielding champs completely screw you over by putting people right above the threshold.

Look at that hot hot grey flesh, that beautifully shaped chest, those sculpted undead abs. Grade A prime daddy material. Sion has a skin that makes him a transformer. He becomes a train. How cool, HOW COOL, is that? Sion. Sion is interactive. He is fun. He is sexy. He is a meme and he embraces it. A rune page I like to use for Eve is Sorcery/Inspiration. Helps with mana problems early so you never have to worry about mana and then you get free boots with extra move speed. My page is Arcane Comet, Ultimate Hat, Celerity, and Gathering Storm(helps whether you get behind or ahead as long as the game lasts long enough). Inspiration tree I get Biscuit Delivery(basically never have mana problems again) and Magical Footwear.

You don't have to be that fed to one shot people by yourself as Evelynn. In order to do that you just have to give up on Mobility Boots and get Sorcerer's ones instead for extra magic PENETRATION.
Build order:
1st back - Dark Seal + one or two tomes;
2nd back - Wisp + tome or finish Runic Echo (red smite if they have burst damage champions like Syndra, Fizz, Zed etc. and blue smite if they don't);
3rd back - Sorcerer's Schoes;
4th back - Hextech Revolver;
5th back - Protobelt;
6th back - Haunting Guise (after that you will notice big kick in your damage on low MR targets);
7th back - now you can either finish Liandry's or start building Lich Bane depending on the situation (most of the time you'll finish Liandry's).
