I love this mele and video, but I am confused as to why haole girls are dancing in the video with very little representation of Kanaka Maoli keiki. If one was not familiar with colonialism in Hawai'i, they might think that white people are "Hawaiians." I see this video as cultural erasure of Kanaka Maoli children. It's fine to have white kids in the video but why were Kanaka keiki hardly represented?
