My buddy in recovery turned this on in his Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT before we went out for a trouble filled night. I’ve bought every album since and 2 concerts. Great performer!
Listening to any of his songs... Is almost trippy. It kinda puts you in some sort of trance where all you can think and speak is "Holy crap. This man is magical." I swear he's some sort of wizard.
@rytrospyk1 honestly one of the best shows I've done. I opened for him here in Philly back in March, too...and this time it was even better. He brings out a real open-minded, fun crowd. had a blast.
what's with all the "I hated rap before this" and "rap sucks but he's great" comments? expand your minds. with that said, Astro is a great talent, and killed this performance. now if you'll excuse me I'm about to go open for him in Philly.
I am pretty familiar with Astro's work, I've pretty much listened to the entire discography. BUT THIS, THIS IS FUCKING AMAZING. Best live performance of his I've seen.
He pretty much is. When I saw him he accidentally played the audio for the wrong song and got through almost the entire thing before he notice that he was doing the wrong song.
I don't think I'd consider Astro RAP, he's more indie hip hop. But yeah I mean he's an INCREDIBLE musician, writer, performer and lyricist all around. He spits like nobody's business, sings AND has amazing stage presence. Who could ask for more!
@daemonxblaze I love hip-hop, looked the dude up and I almost wanted to hate him just because...why not, but really the dude is pretty boss. I went in with a negative attitude and I enjoy it; diggin his Marina And the Diamonds samples and shit. He is really different, which is cool. Kudos to this dude, he's mad talented. But Astronautalis is still better IMHO, not hatin' or anything.
i come back here to watch every now and then, cuz i love the video and, just don't care to own it but...i'm skeptical of how 5 people could down it. maybe it's the lack of instruments or...actually i can't think of anything further passed that...i'm baffled as to how anyone could have a negative feeling about this performance. it permeates, ugh...never mind, it flings honest expression all over the surroundings in defiance of expectations.. possessed by the muse of experiences trickled into the ink of presence ripping apart what would be sought after for the moment of showmen-ship.....well anyway...
I woke up one night with this set playing on my local channel 5. Instantly hooked. Still hanging on

i want to chisel this performance into my perception and leave it on permanent loop. i think he was fucking possessed for three minutes...
He has a tear welled up in his eye towards the end...
the guy puts massive emotion into his art, it's an inspiration, truly.
went to high school with this guy. Very unique voice. Good to see he's going places. hope he makes it big.
I used to party with this guy in Denton years ago fantastic guy and amazing lyricist
did he do anything creepy to your friends? hes kind of a shitbag
Most badass thing I've ever seen
Every genre has great stuff in it. And he can really work his hysteria for all it's worth. Don't hurt that he's a genius.
Rapping is an action, hip-hop is a culture.
I loves me some Astronautalis. Seen him live 5 times.

Still listening 10 years later.
Amazing performance, it's mesmerising

Anyone who has seen him live would be beyond impressed. True emcee and plays well with others. Including k-os and shad from toronto.

Well I am now a fan.

Seen it like 6 years ago and only remembered that the emotions were amazing, no lyrics :/
Damn Andy can flow!!! Would LOVE to see him rip people apart in a rap battle!
Not a fan of hip hop, but lawd...this is talent...

He pretty much is. When I saw him he accidentally played the audio for the wrong song and got through almost the entire thing before he notice that he was doing the wrong song.

He's like a mix between Eminem and Jared Leto.
@ZoeMyJesus nah man astronautalis is WAY better lol i totally agree
@VisionsOfDylan Thats not true at all. There are people like that in every genre of music. Why are you so close minded?
