    I have a bunch of oak scraps, both red and white. Might try one of each.

    Thanks. I can use this. I will probably make the first one out of MDF just to make sure I get it done properly and then make them out of whatever scrap I have. I wll probably make a couple for 90 degree cuts and then maybe one for a couple of different common angles.

    Thanks for the tips. I’ve been watching your videos for a while now and I’ve learned a lot from them. I made some of the Christmas trees for my family; now the whole neighborhood wants me to make them some. The same with the wooden stars. I’d like to see more videos of you projects.

      I plan on doing the throat plate as well. I think I’ll use a partical board. I’ve used it in the past and it works great.
