  • Monica Culpepper claims she had one of the roughest roads of any castaway in the show's 27-season history based on the way she was treated during her time on Survivor: Blood Vs. Water. With her husband, Brad Culpepper, being a former NFL player, Monica felt like they were instant targets from the first day. Despite making it all the way to the final vote and coming in second place, Monica says she is done with Survivor because it was a really tough experience for her. Ryan Haidet of RealityTVMagazine spoke with Monica on the red carpet immediately after the Survivor: Blood Vs. Water finale on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013 where she revealed details on Colton Cumbie quitting the game, why she stuck by Tyson Apostol and Gervase Peterson and explains why she believed they were her better chance at winning the game.

i love monica. she did great. she was a role model. not as a strategist. but as a human being n as a competitor. she was the most selfless person on the show. generous is the true word. even in the camp she worked her ass off n served everybody like a waitress. she has this never give up attitude in challenges. she's so skinny n she took on big guys in challenges where it demanded physical strength. she is mentally very strong. in a show like survivor, its extremely rare to such a loyal person. even gervase wanted to flip on tyson. but she never wavered from her word. she's loyal, brave, generous, mentally very strong n a good human being. that makes her a perfect role model. ozzy is similar to monica. they both played in a pure way.

I love Monica... in small doses. She has a bit of an ego. She's a type who needs to build a small circle of confidences.

one thing is wrong with monica's strategy. Tyson is not Russell. His social game is way better than Russell's. For one, he really only bullies Monica in the game. Russell bullied EVERYONE in the game and Natalie knew that and took advantage of that. Monica ain't Natalie White either. If you're gonna play the coattail riding game, you need to have a sublime social game like Natalie did.

Tyson didn't bully Monica, everyone else BUT Gervase and Tyson "bullied" Monica (said hurtful things behind her back). Besides Tyson saying "she's not a great Survivor, but she did come in handy", they didn't say anything behind Monica's back. Remember when Gervase and Tyson were talking? They were asking if they were worried about Monica winning and they both said they were. But Hayden was telling Cierra to lie to Monica and say Gervase and Tyson called her a puppy dog, coattail rider, etc. When he got voted out, he went to redemption island and calls Monica a lap dog behind her back. It's true, Monica isn't a good Survivor (sometimes lets her emotions get the best of her), but she is a respectable human being. To be honest, she isn't cut out for this game but she's the kind of person I'd like to meet one day.

Monica was an awful player. Such a whiny victim!
