Due Process is a tactical first person shooter inspired by SWAT team tactics. We got a chance to play and early alpha build with the Dev's in Seattle and it's an absolute blast!

Who else came back to this after watching the new vid? There’s something charming about these graphics and the obscene amount of blood coming from low red Minecraft models
Yeah it really shows you how far gratuitious smoke, muzzle flash, and blood go for intensity. New style seems more geared for something competitive but the reduced effects are a little sad

Coming back to this vid... 6 years later, after playing the game. God the wait was worth it. I'm so glad these guys got an early, EARLY access look at the game or else I never would have heard of this.

For Node, this is a really new, exciting chance to play this build, so they're playing seriously. But for the devs, who have already played this game for quite some time, this is just another game among hundreds, and it's become a very casual affair now.

Devs don't make games so they can be the best at it and beat everyone they make the game so other people can enjoy a fun experience who cares if they aren't good at it.

Nice game, i would love to play this with my friends.
i would like to suggest:
- Hidden rooms for the defenders that the attackers don't know about, but will be seen by the defender's map, the rooms can be random or not, it depends
- Just like a real SWAT, they have their own personal weapons with their certain upgrades and parts
- Icons for Flashbang and other necessay things during the planning phase for each team
- Windows for the rooms, and the ability of the defenders to fortify the windows.
- Maybe be add a device like those endoscopic cameras to peep inside the rooms before breaching.
- If its possible add the ability to hear chatter when using the mic.
- Add a breacher shotgun to the game, that would be awesome!
- the ability to lean should be in this game
- There should also be hostages in the game to make sure that the attackers won't just run and gun in the game.

Just as a note: Everything in this video is placeholder and already out of date. Since this was recorded, guns have received new models, there are more animations, walls are now partially destructible, new cover (filing cabinets, vending machines, etc) was added, and cover can be moved around the map. Remember the game is still in active development, anything can change!
Awesome Vheela! We had a ton of fun playing this with you guys. I saw the concepts for the cop models too, and we're all super excited for the Hotline Miami vibe you're planning on going for.

Actually it looks more like one of the older Rainbow Six games since the new one doesn't have a top down planning phase

I don't understand why so many people are complaining about the graphics. I mean, here we have an extremely tactical game unlike any other game recently released, and this game has huge potential. I don't know about you, but that is more than enough for me.
Drew Parsons also the fact that this game is basically pre alpha. The models are simply stand-ins right now
I don't mind basic graphics, but not blocky people and items. Honestly I would not mind it at all if just the gun had good detail, and the player characters were shaped like humans and had good animation but were just monotone blue or red. This is just a little to clunky visually.

Basic character models (that don't even need a texture beside matte blue and red) is pretty basic stuff, so is gun models.
I actually just figured out the guns and players are to be replaced in a way like I said. They are placeholders.

Elias110194 Usually the BASIC GRAPHICS STYLE does not change from Alpha to Beta to Release. This is unusual. There is no reason I should assume that was the case before seeing the website.

The gunfire and blood looks awesome, the rest of the world needs visual work though. Could be a fun game :)
to be fair this is an alpha, so its essentially a proof of concept. There's no assets yet cuz it would be a waste to make them without a backer funding the development of the assets.
I hope the cubey graphics are just there for the alpha because I've had enough of those kinds of graphics.

That would be really hard to draw on though. It could be done by switching levels, but I wouldn't expect it
they are probably going to make bigger places , And actual hostage objectives etc.

This game looks like it could have huge potential, my only problem would be the blocky models, I don't think big clunky blocks would be good for this type of very tactical game
They were place holders,hopefully they will change the blocky feel of the game and replace the models with better ones.

If anything, tactical games should be the least flashy, and I think the simple visuals allow for all focus on gameplay. (That and I think that it actually does look good)
***** I know what you mean and agree simple graphics do look best in some situations, but I think this game is very close quarters and big clunky blocks aren't the best way to go. As another comment said, they don't have to be triple A graphics just something more than blocks

Shame the game didn't perform as well at launch. Graphics were polished but gameplay felt extremely unfair. I think today it barely had 100 total players at a time on steam?

No you shouldn't understand. They have had a working playable game for six years, I have devolped games and apps before and updates and patches are a thing. They could have released the game years ago and had continuously updated or revamped it.

This game has promise. It has super tactical gameplay, but still manages to be fun. It will only be fun, however, with a group of friends or a clan, not a pub game.
This looks way better than the new version.

Call me a douche but for me graphical options in a fps are meant for one and only purpose: lower them at the stricly minimum possible and even below at the polygon quality if available.
This game feels good by it's gameplay, I don't give any fucks about graphics as long as it's good paced with real teamplay and enjoyment(I'm also a big fan of fast-paced fps with insane possibilities of fragging your opponents though). And good point, I easily guess it's very light demanding on ressources so my 6yr old computer can make it run smoothly without problems.
Dude it's in like pre pre alpha who cares about the graphics this is just the core gameplay, and that is the most important thing, but ur not a dick for expressing your opinion and giving good evidence. :)
the current graphs are place holders. When in dev you get the core down so its playable then exchange the graphics which is an easy process.

Guys who says, stop with the minecraft graphics and shit. They dont actually try to mimic the graphic style. It is blocky right now because they have focused on making the mechanics work first. But they still need the bare essential graphics for player models and weapons. So it is blocky because they dont want to spend alot of time on that stuff at the moment. Graphics is made later, kk? Changes I would make
You should not be able to see the enemy in the make unless someone has a visual on them.
Include some non-destructible walls
Select between none, light, medium, heavy and Juggernaut(for attackers only and balanced by very slow movement and reduced Field of View) armor
Give defenders traps and C4(however can only be placed on surfaces and thrown a short distance[close enough that if detonated without moving would kill/seriously damage the user])
Include Revolvers and Machine Pistols/Micro SMG as sidearm choices

This game looks fuckin awesome, except the shitty blocky graphics. Seriously devs, stop doing that. They don't need to be Tripe-A graphics or anything, but anything is better than this Minecraft look
This is actually an old build, the new one has much nicer models for some of the weapons. For this game, "pre-alpha" actually means something(Unlike some other "pre-alpha" games) and the all the art is actually placeholder.
