- Found this while clearing out my VHS's. It doesn't look like it made it to DVD and Amazon only have one copy left on tape so thought I'd give it a bigger audience on RUclips.
From 1992, this was recorded at the Bristol Hippodrome and also contains some of the best sketches from the Jasper Carrot Show.
Cover of the tape lists the following themes: milk, embarrassing parents, flightless birds, city news, salad bars, noah's ark, soft toy abuse. - Развлечения
Saw this live when it was touring and got a signed Take me to the fridge CD, had the video too, but unfortunately both got lost in one of many house moves since then. So thanks for uploading, now downloaded from RUclips and added back into my collectrion :-)
I was in the audience of this very show on 17th November 1992, alongside my younger brother. We sat at the back of the Grand Circle (L6) so are not in shot, although we could see the stage very well. I know this fact because it's in my diary. I stuck the ticket in and wrote it up as a 'great show', noting that most of the material in the two hours was new, and 'all the characters' were in it. I was strangely impressed that they had a fridge on stage for making the Milky Milky video at the end. I was 24. I now have two children and am not allowed to dance - by one of them. The other is weird enough not to care, usually. Can't think where she gets it from...
Brilliant. Saw this live in Poole, Dorset. Wife laughed so hard started contractions for Son No 1. Thanks for posting
My favorite part is Hugh pretending to be an old person is just Hugh now. He knew
Thanks for posting this. I used to have this on video myself until the tape got chewed up. Love this show!
Thank you!, thank you!!, thank you!!! For uploading this one of my mates had it on tape & a group of us watched it over & over again 20 odd years ago, it's just brilliant!! The combination of Steve Punt's deadpan delivery & Hugh Dennis's amazingly physical comedy, outstanding! Not too mention some top notch satire as well.It never made it to DVD - it really should have done, easily good enough most of the material is classic - for those of us that studied foreign languages from a text book - the German cats & Hans being wet will never get old! My wife although a fan of the "The Mary Whitehouse Experience" had never seen this, which meant I couldn't reference it, but now thanks to you we spent an enormously enjoyable 90mins watching this I can now say to her thinks like "don't follow me ... or you'll end up at my place!" & she knows what the hell I'm on about. Thanks again & Milky Milky!! Ps I have never posted a comment online before, so that's a measure of just how special having this back in my life is 😁😎👍
Great stuff, I was in the middle of the front row for the show they did at the Watford Palace Theatre and remember feeling really honoured when one of Hugh Dennis's flecks of spit from his ranty scenes landed on my knee ("celebrity saliva!")
Thank you very much! A rare find!
I had this on VHS back in the day. Can't wait to watch it again. Thank you for uploading.
