Shanny is #1 for me. Man was an institution here during the greatest era in NHL history

Placido Polanco was an all-time midseason trade. The fact they got him for Ugueth Urbina, who went to prison after that season, made it even better.

Fister was excellent !!! finished year 8-1 with 1.79 ERA

Fister pitched better in the final 2 months of the 2011 season than JV. And that was the year JV won Cy Young and MVP.

Rasheed Wallace. He was the missing piece to that squad. If Dumars drafts ANYONE but Darko the Pistons win multiple championships. Imagine if they took Wade or Bosh 😭

How about Carmelo.... thats who should have been the pick.

I paused the video and I was going to predict Wallace as #1. But you beat me to it, you wrote almost exactly every word of what I was going to say except for Bosch. They draft Wade and they win that game 7 against the Spurs to repeat. After that, anything would have been possible. Wallace was the best signing in Detroit sports history and Darko was the worst draft pick in Detroit sports history, even worse than Joey Harrington. Maybe tied with Andre Ware.

Doug fister and Doyle Alexander (regardless of what became of John Smoltz) were better pickups than Iverson or Sean Casey imo.

As a die hard Hartford whalers fan. I new we were basically a farm team for Detroit.

@@moose800 I thought it was best signings and trades in general. They got Tate in his prime. They don’t win the title without RIPping off the Wizards.
