I have some almost completely computer-illiterate colleagues, this type of operating system would make their lives soooooo much easier! Take note, tech giants!
Imagine you misplaced a file and you have to search everywhere to find it. 😂 Boss:"Where's the TPS report Jim?" Jim:"It's somewhere on my device, wait found it. It was in the table in the clock room." Boss:????
I used this as my note-taker in school during middle school :) I saw your vid and pulled it out just to take a look at it again and it still works, hah!
In this episode, AkBkuKu becomes Bob Ross.... You don't have to have Magic Jack. Your local phone company should be able to provide you with a VoIP device. My current company, Charter Communications, does this
I do have a Pandigital Novel and no I don't use it regularly. That time period was the beginning of the smartphone boom and technology rapidly left the earlier devices behind. I've had four different tablets since then.
Ah, glad I'm not the only one! I was actually thinking of actually using it as a digital photo frame, but the screen is a little too low res to look good with modern images. This definitely would probably have been used more back when it was new!
2:26 Magnavox is not Motorola 4:41 Swipe scroll was a thing even before?! 5:57 an ancient keyboard, fancysized. 11:43 AYFS?! Screen capture software in *mid 90s!?*
the way humanity CREATES clever stuff only to trash and replace them later with more clever stuff is kind of sad imo! let's call the whole process Smartrash (smart trash) Creation ...
an operating system that replicates your *actual* desk top
that's hilariously awesome, hopefully VR takes off and brings that back full circle.

GenUltra758 it would still be impressive, if it had color
Nik Golinar true
Agreed
Just watched the documentary "General Magic", and found my way here :) Everyone interested in this should check it out. Definitely worthwhile.
This Interface reminds me of Microsoft Bob
But it is this crap: toastytech.com/guis/mcap.html
Only without the Microsoft or Bob.
But in a good way

Oh.. We still use those batteries today in LED studio lighting. Easy to obtain too. Sweet
Yeah! Its jist a canon camera battery.
This is the most amazing UI I have ever seen! 😍😍😍😍😎..
Thank you so much @AkBKukU
That touch sound is amazing. I want it on my phone :(
I always wanted to see one in action
I have a dead Sony MagicLink (likely water-damaged), so I'm glad to see MagicCap in operation.
Geez thats insainly advanced for that era
Is that battery what now is the Sony npfm500h battery? Any idea why it was called magic cap instead of magic hat?
This is some smart UI.
its like a vtech on steroids, would have absolutely loved this as a 7 year old, that thing has more functionality than my gameboy did
where can i buy your art
Is AkBKukU also a Lincoln Town Car / Panther platform fan?
I have one of these as well. Mine is missing the battery and the battery cover though.
was this more successful than Apple Newton? looks very much like it too although Newton is much more beautiful!
Could you get something like that online using net 0 or another free modem company these days?
I think it uses the same battery pack than my old Canon XL1S, these things last for ever
This device need a colorful Restart in 2018. Very intersting
An excellent device for the time 🤙
Yeah guys new video!
Hey, do you have a Pandigital Novel tablet? Do you still use it, or does it sit in a drawer, like mine?

if I took a photo of my cubicle and hung it on my wall, my boss would be confused.
That's a standard Sony lithium battery, you can still buy replacements for it probably. I'd recognize the design anywhere.
+AkBKukU What material is the inside of the battery made out of?
4:29 That looks like a *prototype* UI for the speakerphone app.
@ 1:44 Im guessing home boy be rolling hard in the Linc
Um, a little late to the comment party here, but you got your phone to display 13:37 for the video? Are you a timelord? :)
Ah, the portable version of Microsoft BOB
Microsoft bob pls
this is what microsoft Bob wishes it could be
Anyone else suspicious that when we were shown his phone it had the time as 13:37 and the video itself is 13:37 long.
MS Bob: handheld edition
So like Microsoft Bob!
1:44 was the time on the phone intentional or was it a coincidence?
Battery looks similar to a early 2000
s Sony Handycam battery
2:26 Magnavox is not Motorola
4:41 Swipe scroll was a thing even before?!
5:57 an ancient keyboard, fancysized.
11:43 AYFS?! Screen capture software in *mid 90s!?*
Wel, my original iPhone is 10 years old and still usable 😜
10 != 20
Usable for what tasks?
so cool
The battery that uses this thing is the same that uses my digital mavica from sony LOL
The PC cards are more than likely to be for flash/rom
Its how Microsoft got there idea of Microsoft bob
can it run crysis?
This was a 90s not 80s
Connect a WiFi card to it
300 views wtf?
