thank you for sharing this! it's amazing to be able to watch stuff that seems like from such a long time ago, I love it!! wish there could be more train varieties that come through nowadays if you know what I mean by that, like instead of it all being CSX now, have some other ones come Through
@@cpttankerjoe Yeah, me too Joe! I hate to admit it but I only made it over to Deshler once in the late 1970's and only stayed for a couple trains before moving on to Fostoria. Opportu ity lost for sure.
@@b3j8 I lived in deshler from 03-08 and let me tell you it was some of the best years of my life. Where I am now at 20 I can’t go anywhere without telling my mom when where for how long. While in deshler it was “ok be back home by dusk” or something along those lines. I miss those days with a passion
@@cpttankerjoe Well, at 61 I've got afew yrs on ya, but I grew up that same way over in Northern Indiana. I understand what you're saying. Sad for you younger fans that so much railroading is history.
I wouldn’t say that I feel it ended in the 2010’s around 2015 but I feel when it truly become a joke was in May of 2018 because it was like someone suddenly just cut off the water valves
It was probably a different styled diamond that was made for high-speed, it was replaced sometime in 2010s. Speed could of also been restricted due to it being in a town or from the derailments.
I miss these days. Much better than the dark blue joke CSX is now.

Dang that was a lot of foreign power, NS, BN, NYSW, UP, SF, HLCX, CR. Great video!
I would’ve loved to have been around during this time, so much variety in terms of power
telegraph poles....love it
The year before I was born. Man would I have given ANYTHING to be able to film all that back then.
A decade or so before this you could have talked to the Train Dispatcher for the Toledo-Cinci main. He was right there in the Tower!
@@b3j8 ah man. I would have given anything to talk to him

this when wide cab train we all kown was new
4:00 that one was FLYING around 60, they had to limit down to 40 for too much bouncing at trackspeed I guess..
Was the 40 speed limit placed after the crash in 2002 if it was in 2002
@@notarotomwithhair5637 Maybe.
In these days, Leaser and Foreign power on the CSX was very very common. Sadly this era ended in 2005.

Why are the trains going at such a high speed over the diamond compared to todays speed?
