The reason why they air tight and bulky is mixing up two oils in a pickle causes some reaction and it results in such air , we faced the same when mixed two kinds of oil in a pickle 😊

Best to put the butter chillies in fridge , if outside they will get bugs in them

U can cook/ roast/ fry vadiyams in micro wave - check it ( 30 secs ) then u don’t need to fry in oil .
Try pellala vadiyams- they r very yummy - just like chakalu

If ur grandson is interest in dry mango business, I will be her first customer, I love raw mango - but no one makes them for me, mum mum says her area is very dusty so if we dry lots of dust will accumulate in them. She leaves very close to busy commercial, heavy traffic area .

Challa mirapakayalu stay fresh in fridge. Sun drying doesn't help too as non-summer temperatures are not high. They are very prone to pests even in air tight containers outside fridge
