  • GM Ryan Poles knows something - follow your plan no matter what the outsiders say. The Chicago Bears have just been proven right on a player that was originally panned as a horrible move. Bear down.

@@ministarick Swift jukes a lil better but Monty breaks tackles for more. Monty last season was 300 plus reception yards. His job was taken by Fields. Side by side id pick Montgomery anyday. But Swift can prove it this year with Caleb throwing more than Fields.
But Caleb gotta lotta targets for receptions. If Swift does 350 yards reception im happy

I love this signing! Khalil is a dog but he is more of a package player. We are now going to be able run Pro formations with Khalil and Swift with is a dangerous combo coming out of the backfield. Then bring in Ro in short yardage situations.

He's also a good blocking back, have him in there with a 3 TE offensive scheme and protect Caleb!

Swift doesn't appear to be a bad choice, you have to look at his over all yards and his catch ability. Caleb needs a target out of the backfield. He needs the hot route to throw to . I like it .

I remember that heavy article you talked about. I appreciate the update. Some of the local sports radio 📻 shows around here said the same thing. Poles seems to be two steps ahead of these jokers.

Great comment! I just want to add … I actually like swift! He’s tuff and elusive with hands.. and his production has improved each year he’s been in the league. And he’s a pro bowler. Plus we are really counting on Roshon Johnson to develop.

@scottgarrison - Josh Jacobs did not look good in 2023 and has never played in cold weather. He may not be an upgrade for GB.
Montgomery was a decent short yardage back but DeAndre Swift has more potential as an all-around back. He was great for the Eagles in 2023.
The Bears need Roschon Johnson to be a short yardage back.

@@thechannel2398 Swift has never caught more passes than Monty.. Nagy and Getsy underutilized him. Monty scored in playoffs too..i dunno if Swift has. Monty was cheaper and better blocker. Monty healed like Wolverine. I saw him come down on his head and a quarter or less later he came back on field.

Just stop. I love the Bears but Swift couldn't hold Jacob's jock strap. The Bears could have and should have added MUCH needed defensive line help with the money Poles threw away on Swift. Although Poles signing of Byard IS the best under the radar FA signing of the off-season. That is a great addition.

I think we are going into camp believing in our line. If any weaknesses arise in training camp that can’t be coached up, then we look for an edge rusher. But I like the Austin Booker , Damarcus Walker, Dominique Robinson rotation we have already. So let’s give the a shot first! That’s how you build team continuity.
