    Thanks so much. So simple, yet so useful. I came looking for a way to randomize values on scatter chart and this just did the trick. *Awesome!!!*

    That's nice, I have been working with excel for years so i knew exactly what you were going to do from the start!

    Thanks for the vid!
    If you need the numbers to stay unchanged (i.e. stop calculating RNG every time you make a move), you can do so by going to
    *Formulas -> Calculation Options -> Manual*
    Also you can freeze the A column (if it's your "Numerical order", which you don't want to change) by going to
    *View -> Window -> Freeze Panes -> Freeze First Column*
    You can undo both of these by getting them back to *Auto* & *Unfreeze*

      I was using the 2007 version. Mileage may vary.

    When learning something new, I use flash cards when possible. I was trying to come up with a method using my computer.
    E.G. to learn a new language, one column has the English words and the second column has the foreign words. By changing the font colour or the cell colour of the foreign words column, you can make them invisible unless you select them, and then the word becomes visible in the fx window or you can change the cell colour or font colour to check. My concern was that with constant repetition, you can sometimes predict the next 'invisible' word. Your video provides the method needed to randomize the lists. Thank you so much.

    How did you fill in the rest of the columns? That part is unclear and I can't get it to work?

    Can you tell me how to stop the numbers from being randomised again after writing something in the same row/column please

    • @learnexcelvideo
      @learnexcelvideo  2 года назад

      Once it's randomized you should be able to just delete the "Random" column if you won't need to randomize it again. Or you could copy the column and go to "Paste Special >> Values Only" if you want to preserve the numeric values without them changing.
