    Thank you for this. Was having trouble macroing all my spells as RDM, and then also getting to them quickly. /macro set will help a lot.

    Thank you so much for this vid, this is EXACTLY what I wanted to be able to do with my RDM macros but I was worried there would be no command to change macro books

    Liked and favorited the video my good sir...very informative!
    I had no idea you could change macro sets that way, hahah. I just started playing Red Mage not too long ago myself, and I have already came up with my own way of doing things effectively but...god damn! Now I might have to go and try that method out. :)
    Hope you keep making commentaries! Just watched the solo vid you put out today by the way, good stuff! That's my goal. :D

    This is no big deal but for your "main" or root set is usually called the "index" but its personal preference ofc. Btw this is REALLY good for smn. "/ma "ramuh" me" "/macro set 6"(set 6 has all ramuhs bp as well as some buff/healing/ja macros) and I use ctrl1 as my index as well : ) great vid keep em coming!

    Just stumbled across this. I remember when they made the macro books and implemented the /macro commands. That finally allowed macro intense jobs to be effective for players who weren't using windower. There were so many applications for this style of macro: BLM with all the different elements in the root macro with the individual spells in your sub macro sets, SMN with the different summons in your root and all the attack and spell commands in the sub macro sets, I also used it a lot to organize the various WS proc's when tanking on NIN. As a critique though you are missing opportunity to add gear in your root macros - for example in you are going to EN you could also equip the more generic enhancing gear there and then when you click on the specific spell you equip anything that is more specific to the spell or element of the spell - that way you can swap every single piece of gear. . I used to also try to equip fast cast gear as I was switching to spells in the root macro and then in my sub macro after I actually initiate the spell I would equip gear that actually boosts the spell in the place of fast cast gear. Kinda makes me want to load up the game and start playing again ;;

    Just came across this recently looking for ways to expand ws macro sets playing on 360. For the ws sets was starting on the root bar then linking other bars in a loop so that you can change gear, ws, then switch into tp gear ending back at the root bar. Realized watching this I need to build SMN and NIN this way. Would be nice to have separate bars for each avatars abilities. Nice Vid!

    I like the setup and the great organization. Have you considered using a G15? I find that macros utilizing the G15 to be equally effective and in some cases, even faster to utilize.

    Don't play the game anymore, but wow this command is amazing, wish I knew about it when I was playing!
    Like watching your videos still though, keep it up!

    hey upbeat i think the only rdm i knew of was Avesta. he was swapping back and forth between macro sets and books on his rdm. Seems like there is no need for spellcast then :)

    It's definitely interesting to watch how other people set their macros up since there really is no defined way to do it. Every single person could come up with a totally different system that works just as well as another person's macros. I would assume most people that type out all their commands probably don't know the easier methods, or just don't want to change what they've already been doing.

      Spellcast or Ashita cast with xml much better way for makro just need to put /exec nameof.xml in first line of every makro and done even if you cast a spell in your list you will swap all your gear

    I bet it does! I'm fairly ashamed of myself for not implementing the command into my sets sooner.

    I don't understand... lot of ppl vids I watch they type their commands... I had to use like 4 sets of macros on every job I had except for DD's, so I'm always confused to see peoples macros or setups

    I always used a macro called "Back" and it would take me back to the #1 macro. Calling it root is cool, you must be a linux user.
