Most of Korea's ancient woodworking techniques were built from carving stone buildings as well as wood. Modernized equipment is used to create this bonding technique, but ancient wooden ships also have wooden nails and wood, not metal nails. The way these houses were built is similar to China and Japan, but raising copperplate tiles to the roof is a trend of the times. In the past, roofs were filled with tiles from kilns. Copperplate tiles have gold blades, but traditional tiles are preferred.
Although copper roofing tile looks good when it is new, it is difficult to maintain because it will turn green and dark due to weathering. Ceramic tiles could last forever.
Never seen copper plating on any Asian classical tiled roofs! Not Japan, China, Thailand -- anywhere in Asia! You Koreans are in the forefront of traditional house design. Amazing!!!
People today will tell us that ancient people were not as advanced as we are, however they were building houses without causing a lot of damage to the environment, living in these types of houses, mud brick houses, etc. Today we are concerned about climate change.
This is innovative, unique and layers of beautiful design application. Have never seen anything like this before! Good Luck new owners👍👍 6 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

No nails and brackets is better. Those things rely on frictions between metal and wood. If rusted or loose, then the whole structure will fall apart in a domino effect.

This is fascinating. I really like the wooden structure. My only real critique of it is that there does not seem to be any tiedowns between the roof and the joists. They are really important to prevent the roof from being lifted up by the wind.
@@197One Roofs getting lifted up happens often enough in North America. Another major difference between what you are doing and you are doing is tiles. Korean roofs are way heavier. That probably does help.
Die verbrauchen mehr Holz für Dach als für den ganzen Haus 😂😂. Und das ganze Bauart ist komisch.😊😊. Aber der Resultat spricht für sich selbst. Respekt.
I don't get why they said the house is golden. The roof is in colour that resonates perfectly with copper colour. The roof colour should have been golden like they have shown in the thumbnail of the video. However in the video it's a completely different story. Overall the house is awesome. I guess the thumbnail and title were just clickbait for people to watch the video.
In traditional Korean houses, the walls are covered with red clay and the outermost area is covered with lime, which is a natural material that is good for firmly fixing the walls.
