Mistakes were made. Corn was hauled. Cattle were fed.

Another great video Bobby Lee! Your videos and Farmer Tyler Ranch are my very favorites. You guys get in to the real farming experience. I appreciate you showing the real thing. sure, gates get left open, welds break, calves get in the wrong pasture.. etc... Real Farming just like on my farm! keep up the good work and I'll see ya on the next one!

Thank you! We just try to keep it real. I don’t think I’m overly entertaining, but there’s no shortage of entertainment naturally occurring on the farm!

I haven’t had much issues feeding rounds stored outside with our horses “YET”. We now buy our horse hay sprayed and fertilized. About 5 years ago I thought I was saving money just feeding the horses our hay off our place we feed to the cows. Lesson learned I will not do that again. All 5 horses got into foxtail out of the same bale. Tore their mouths to pieces. I spent more at the vet after several trips then If I had just bought good hay.

yeah, foxtail is a real issue for some horses. Some seem to tolerate it without as much trouble. It makes a pretty good forage for the cattle, though

Torch a hole in your pallet forks to back the wagon in to the barn

Yeah, but I don’t have pallet “forks”. Mine are pallet “spears”. If I ever do have a set of traditional forks, I’ll definitely do that

I do have a small receiver on the front of the kubota side by side. May try that, but not sure that is has the power to move it. Maybe I’ll find out!

@@HurricaneCreekFarms side by side should have enough power or torch a hole in the bucket for the tractor

Does your high school have an ag shop? I take stuff to our high school and the shop boys weld it. It gives them the experience.

I’m sure some of the local schools do, but not the school that my kids and attended. They could definitely do a better job than me, but the frame on the pioneer where that receiver attaches is pretty thin metal. I’m probably going to take it to a professional to be sure it gets done right.

Just out of curiosity, have you ever considered getting a cake feeder for your truck? I think I’m going to to save some time.

    • @HurricaneCreekFarms

This truck had one at one time (before I bought it). I’ve never seriously considered it. It gets so damn muddy around here, I don’t think I could use it for large parts of the winter when it’d probably be the most convenient.
