I am a certified Volkswagen mechanic and have a 2 door Up! It turns more heads here than my 180sx ever did. It is a fun little car for a-b driving and the fuel economy is astronomical. I say this car will become a cult classic one day at least in Australia as you do not see many.....But that is just me.
Yeah, the Automatic (ASG) Ups aren’t that good from what I’ve heard, they have issues with shifting gears and issues with the auto clutch. I have a manual Up and it’s really good
Once on an open track day there were two vintage Porsche owners. The first one told me "You were pretty fast out there", while the other said later "You seem to be a wheel man?". I'd guess the later comment was form the owner who spun in the first turn and I just nearly missed him. Right as I accelerated out of the turn, I saw the front of his car facing me. A near miss. I eventually cooked my slotted Brembo discs and my EBC Green Stuff pads, which was a bummer. Seeing the face of frustration, letdown and even disgust of a few people who looked into my dirty stock engine bay was an odd feeling. Also the face of that one guy who asked me what suspension I have, as I told him "the cheapest lowering set on eBay, but with cut original springs". I drove a 1053 cc Polo 86C, where I can enjoy the color of the car without exiting it. That piece of shit has had me smiling the most from any cars I've driven. It also seems to get others smiling too. I once sat in a two door UP! and immediately felt cozy as I noticed the doors. Though as a rule of thumb, VW went to shit after generation IV.
Actually you are not correct. The car isn’t super cheap for our standards. We could’ve found a cheaper one. We just thought it’d be fun to come up with a stereotypical driver of such car. No clutch was harmed recording this video 😂

We totally agree. It is a great everyday car and that is exactly how we use it. All the abuse seen in the video is for the laughs only 😂
first 5 minutes: average 80 years old german who refuses to buy automatic car or giving up driving at all
Hahha, Germany isn’t the only country where it is like that 😅
Thats the best first car a person can have and with lpg is perfect for lots of roads trips while you are poor student for example !
This is absolutely true! 😊
i own a 2021 dacia sandero with LPG as a 31 y.o. with a family and it's still the best haha
not a bad car if you choose base 60hp engine but even tsi 75 can have issues in the long run
75hp is still the same engine. 1.0 TSI 90hp is diffrent but they're not so bad as anyone says.
The first half of the video was genius lmao
Thank you ❤
My grandma has one with automatic transmission and I I hate this car with a passion
the automatic in this car is horrible lol, its actually a manual gearbox but with a robot that controls the manual clutch. slow as heck.

I started a RUclips channel because of this car so its top top!!
normal day in poland
Here before it blows up
❤
Honestly how has this video not blown up yet
You know a car is a piece of shit when you can see the bare metal frame, from the inside.
