  • Not only was Snape a master double agent, he fooled the most powerful dark wizard of all time. Only an extremely skilled Legilimens could have pulled that off, especially right under Voldemort’s lack of a nose. Although J.K. Rowling revealed Snape’s deepest secret in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, there are still some things you may not know about Hogwarts’ Potions professor. Here are Things You Didn't Know About Severus Snape.

Your voice is unsufferable. Plus there is nothing new here, most of these things are known by the public. This video was not necessary

For most of the series before Deathly Hallows I was wondering why does Dumbledore trust Snape. I thought that there must be something deep. At first I might thought it has something with Death Eaters. I have a lot of respect and sympathy for his actions as spy. Very impressive peace of espionage. Yes he was unpleasant but he did care about students. Yes he was unpleasant towards them but when Ginny Weasley was taken into the Chamber he was concerned. When there was an attempt to steal the Sword, detention was with Hagrid. He's a complex character. Harry Potter has forgiven him and he ensured that Snape's Portrait was in the Headmaster's Office. He named his son Albus Severus to honour what Snape did. If he was pleasant towards Harry then his actions would have been reported by Death Eater spy. Same thing goes for other students.

Yes! That is exactly what I've been trying to say. People were already suspicious of Snape, and being a kindly teacher like Flitwick would have sealed his fate. To paraphrase Julia in _Nineteen Eighty-four,_ if you follow the small things to perfection, you can get away with the bigger ones easier.
