Jesus bids us shine with a pure clear light, like a little candle burning in the night. In this world of darkness we must shine , you in your small corner, and l in mine.
There's a lighthouse on the hillside That over looks life's sea When I'm tossed it sends out a light, A light that I might see And the light that shines in darkness Now will safely lead me home If it wasn't for the lighthouse My ship would sail no more. Everybody who lives around us Says tear that lighthouse down The big ships They don't sail by this way anymore, Ain't no use it standing around Then my mind goes back To the stormy night when just in time, I saw the light, Oh light from that old lighthouse, That stands up there on the hill. And I thank God for the lighthouse, I owe my life to him. For Jesus is the lighthouse, And from the rocks of sin, He has shown the light around me That I might clearly see If it wasn't for the lighthouse Tell me where would this ship be?
Today is my birthday and my mom sent this to me because she knows I used to love this song so much. Makes me realize how blessed I am every time I hear it.
This song was originally sung in the ‘80s and I believe it was written by Keith Lancaster of the original Acapella Vocal Band (AVB). I used to watch them in concert several times a year as a child.
Who ever is listening to this song please pray for me. Thank you💕
Remember God loves you and you're never alone❤️Jesus is the lighthouse in our dark times.
I will be praying my sister.
You have my prayers 🙏
I thank God for the lighthouse

There's a lighthouse on the hillside

A light that I might see
And the light that shines in darkness

Oh light from that old lighthouse,
That stands up there on the hill.
And I thank God for the lighthouse,

For Jesus is the lighthouse,
And from the rocks of sin,

That I might clearly see
If it wasn't for the lighthouse
Tell me where would this ship be?
