I grew up in Minnesota and until I found this channel recently, I only knew of 10-pin bowling. Now I prefer to watch candlepin bowling vids. I hope to give it a go one day! IMO now I believe candlepin, duckpin, and Canadian 5-pin bowling are all better than 10-pin.
They are definitely harder, I am in New England and love candlepin bowling. Nothing is more satisfying than getting marks on marks in a game were it's hard af
Glad you back to re-uploads of your old uploads in parts. No offensive for people who wants Bowling Shows not on RUclips before; just wanting to get the temp. playlist of shows in parts deleted at some point.
the bowling show was huge in the boston area for many years at twelve noon on saturday. we always had our lunch on our tv trays in front of the set. i knew people who watched and weren't bowlers. the show is long gone now except on youtube and the sport itself and alot of bowling alleys are disappearing.
Candlepin is played in New England, mainly in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine (Vermont a bit as well) and also in Canada primarily in New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia.

I remember this show so very well and now that I am retired and living in Oregon it is only 10 pin here. They have no clue to what real bowing is. lol

8:50 The ball jumps over to the right lane and takes out the three pin!
I miss going to the bowling ally near my grandparents old place in Plainfield, CT. They had duck pin there.
Tom Olszta could bowl a 400 blindfolded, he broke every record on Channel 5 bowling
Except for the high triple which belong to Paul Berger.
ive never seen such a thing. very curious sport indeed. being from texas, we prefer our pins bigger!
Have you seen duckpin bowling?
You guys in Texas must live big balls too.
Odd, smaller ball and differently shaped pins. I'm from the USA, and have never heard of this. In what countries is it popular?
New England

Further south is duckpin bowling
USA bro. New England.
tom olszta was the king pin of candlepin bowling and stasia czernicki was the queen.
He knew he would lose. He enjoyed losing to the world's best.
Spoiler alert:
Tom wins hahahaha
