I absolutely loved this as a 16yo in 81..... remember the sounds like yesterday
I remember seeing this in the Konami Arcade collection and thinking that this title was the perfect bridge between Defender and Gradius. So thankful that this game helped inspire the latter. Thank you for capturing this footage!
this game is totally bad ass. the sounds are like violent destruction
Along with "Frogger", helped get Konami noticed.
My best friend and I would play this quite a bit. I would spam the fire button so he could concentrate getting through those intricate caves.
Scramble was my absolute favourite, with Galaxians and Phoenix next 🙂
Do you miss this video arcade game machine as well? You definitely wouldn't like the new ones either.
