Hey bro, do you want some help in your builds? I can do some for you for free. It's been a while since I worked on a big project. Do you have a Discord Channel?
Not sure how this would fit, but maybe some floating islands? could have open air structures for flight-capable races (if they exist in the lore you may or may not be making)
I’d personally like to see some more every day buildings necessary for the function of a medieval society. In the city itself you could build some guildhalls for different trades, a bank to lend money to merchants and the crown alike, and a place for condemned people to be executed. In the countryside, some vineyards would be nice to see. Idk if you’ve already built any of this stuff, it’s been a while since I watched.
@@Jeracraft if you want more particular ideas I’d recommend watching the lordsport series by lord dakr. It’s a bit like Greymane, just significantly more grounded.
This one is for the wilds, have ‘monster’ villages or hideouts, this would make it more medieval fantasy but it would align with who a Minecraft world would be like.
I want to see a crypt built under the cathedral, and a cemetery built next to the massive church as well. I would also like to see some new additions made the castle interior as well, like a master bedroom for the king (you), and possibly a kitchen/dining room for the royal family and various important people around the kingdom, if you have the time.
I would suggest an old temple in ruins in some remote part of the island. Something that implies that some dissappeared old civilization existed there which later developed into the kingdom we now know.
The roof of the undercity now that you're on Caves and Cliffs, also look into Flashback mod for 1.21. It's a new mod like the Replay mod but with a whole editor built-in and more, great tool and could help the recording process
Adding a bit of lore to the build is nice. I think because it’s the medieval age it might just be called an academy most of the time the wealthy and nobility has access too. I don’t truly know correct me if I’m wrong 😅
Hi jera, I'll start with thanking you for this amazing series, definitely the best of the best on youtube❤️ As an historian, i would like to give you a couple of advices on the middle ages, even if this is a fantasy world. One thing you should add to the city is a few towers. If you look at images of cities like Bologna in the XIV century, there were hundred of those towers, and each one represented a wealthy family in the city. I also think that you should do more little villages on the islands, more or less like you did across the mountain in the last episode, because i can assure you that at least 90% of medieval people were farmers who lived in small villages. Another thing you should add are woods: in the VIII century there were so many forests that it was possible to travel from rome to the northern sea only by going from one tree to another, so i think that the island might need a bit of a tree update. Last but not least, it would be amazing if you build a commercial city on the seaside, with giant markets, fairs, exhibitions, a circus and so on. In western europe there were tons of this kind of cities, especially in France and Germany, and they came from all across Europe to trade there (those fairs are also the reason why banks are born). Maybe, in this city you could add a gothic cathedral, which would be an insane addition to the project. Hope those suggestions helped and keep doing what you love no matter what the algorithm says❤️
Hi JeraCraft! I suggest building a Cool Wizard Castle, where famous wizards, magicians, and KOGM magic users practice. I recommend placing it in the mountains, making it like a magic school. Additionally, you could create a Blacksmith for weapons or a City Forge, along with a school for KOGM's best knights. Also, adding taverns for merchants and travelers to hang out would be a great touch.❤
You know what they say... don't get carried away! But really, I do remember the video where you basically renovated the map, like updating plazas and promenades with dead coral for path patterns. With the huge variety of new blocks, especially deepslate, a more diverse palette could be in order, particularly since Greymane is dominated by, well, mainly grey stone and spruce.
I think some farmlands with occasional windmills, barns could be fine, or even some other river at the other side of the map with a small port along it
@@Jeracraft oooh... Yeah, my bad. But there is still one question: how did they manage to fit such a huge treasure chest through so many halls, corridors, doors and gates, with some of them being smaller than the chest itself?😄
@@hypernusfury Maybe the chest was already there...just dug up from thousands of years ago or they could have just built the chest in the room, transporting the wood down 😂
Obviously the cemetery and the stone quarry, I’d love a fishing village, a small chapel on the backside of the mountain would be sweet, an adventurers/mercenary/merchant guild would be cool, a stable with a jousting lists could be cool, a religious order’s chapter house and some ballistas/trebuchets/catapults on the wall would be awesome, and for the people wanting a dragon maybe you could include one in the design like a statue or a wall piece? But those are just some of my thoughts. I’m so glad you’re back to Greymane. They’re my comfort videos. Lol. Keep up the great work Jeracraft! You rock!
You could build other villages/towns. Maybe even a town floating on the ocean (like the Lake Town from The Hobbit) or an underwater one (like Atlantis or the gungan one from Star Wars: The Phantom Menace).
Death rites are very important to human society, if we could get some more content related to that (I.e crematoriums, catacombs, graveyards, mounds etc.)
What about a medieval circus visiting outside of the city or in the city, you could maybe do one of those gigantic, red and white ,domed tents and those caged carriages with animals
I think it would be fun to have a hiden hot spring somewhere in the mountain!!!! I think it would be awesome to stumble apon a secret cave and to see some beautiful ponds with lush plants everywhere!!! Keep up the great work man, you are so talended and dedicated, you truly inspire me to be creative!! ❤❤❤ :]
One thing that I think would massively help... a bakery and/or food distribution building with attached kitchen! The kingdom has a thriving economy and agriculture, yet food doesn't come in boxes, and most crops can't be eaten as-is! I think it would be a massive quality-of-life, albeit small, addition that's unlikely to have you get carried away! ^^
A quarry outside the city and mines under the mountain, like Erebor. You have to show where all the wealth comes from, haha. And I say, just keep making the mountain kingdom itself more epic, it's the crown jewel of this project!
I‘d love to see some buildings away from the main kingdom, like maybe an outpost somewhere. Then you could add maybe some kind of central market place where all kinds of little shops and markets are. If you want to, you could also build some kind of dragon cavern somewhere on the map, to add a bit of adventure. Another thing I‘d be happy to see would be some kind of witch in the city that sells potions and items, it‘d be funny if her house looks kinda different to the rest. I have seen in another comment that they would like to see banks and trading halls, and the same counts for me. Something else you could add is a festival area with maybe a circus or something like that, and maybe an arena? If you want to go underground you could do some sort of cave that naturally connects to the sewers, which could be a pirate hideout or something similar.(If any of those suggestions already exist I‘m sorry, it has been a little while since I watched the graymaine episodes…)
1. A large forest with some sort of bandit hideout would be sick, maybe throw in some trolls turned to stone? I feel it would be nice addition to lore. 2. A faraway cemetery, preferably on a hill and backed by some sort of swamp or shallow lake, with at least one crypt. 3. A lone outpost far away from settlements guarding the wilderness from the enemies, perhaps a forest clearing on the shore of the sea? 4. Some sort of ruinous town, where the buildings have all crumbled and became overgrown. Could be neat with a sort of pine forest, or you could put it on the edge of the bandit forest.
I have a few ideas☝️ 1: A secret entrance to the castle would be really cool! (I believe there is already a secret entrance into the city through the sewers) 2: Adding moss blocks to the undercity would make it look like mold is growing. As well as oxidized copper for that matter. 3: Use deepslate and tuff bricks to add more detail to existing buildings. Maybe it could be like some buildings are made out of different materials.
You should Build a fishing Dock yard infront of the farm land so traders from outside of kingdoms of gray mane can travel too the main kingdom from sea 🌊 😎👀
I want some lore about kingdoms of greymane and building related to said lore - an abandonned meeting room in the sewer of rebels Who tried to overthrow the lord - an ancient battlefield of a prior war or a memorial for the soldier who died in said war - an imbassy of another kingdom - an upgrade and the history behind the god tree you made quite a while back Idk just a few suggestion thx for going back to greymane 🎉❤
I know there are jails in the kingdom but one very hard and secure on a big scale. Break through which would be next to impossible. A top level Jail for the most wanted criminals of the kingdom.
I think that you should focus not on the center but mabey on the outskirts of the kindom making it so that there is a much wider range to explor like more building or even small but more advanced than vanilla villages
I would like to recommend a possible secret cave tunnel that goes from the castle cellar or treasure room to a graveyard (probably right next to the cathedral).
I’d like to see some tiny little villages, along with stuff like wood mills, flower mills, granaries, mines, and basically all the small-scale stuff real medieval people would need
Guild building, places for adventures to rest and take on the next mission. Some kind of ancient ruins, covered in nature. Maybe it was place for ancient God/s? An rebels/enemy camp on the edge of the kingdom. Village ready for some kind of festival. Witch Tower! ^^
It would be great if the buildings and walls of the kingdoms had more moss climbing the walls/mossy cobblestone just to add some variety so it isnt just plain grey colours everywhere
Let’s goo! I always love your Kingdoms of Graymane videos. If you’re open to suggestions, how about you create an abandoned dungeon area where an adventure could be? It’d be a great way to add some custom items into the map- since you enjoy making them.
Please rebuild and tweek some regions of the old Kingdoms of Greymane map like the Serpent Caverns or the Elven Forrest,or The Ancient's Swamp and maybe some new ones like (listing some of my ideas) The Mudhall Hills, brown, swampy, mud hills,The Coraean Delta,a foggy, lush delta of a river, posibly branching off of the river flowing through Fort Greymane that could transition into the swamp,The RedHorn Archipelago, with islands presenting high cliffs and strange rock formations with lush and eroded undertones,The Ropha Heath,a heath with rocky cliffs overlooking the sea and so on.I know that all of these might not be added but I just want to give a bit of inspiration for the possible diferent biomes of The Kingdoms of Greymane,as it is said as "Kingdoms " and not "Kingdom".It would also be cool to add more villages and setlements scatered around like maybe a windmill village beside the tavern at the back of The Greymane Mountains.
Have you ever seen the Eternal Cities from Elden Ring? We already have the Undercity, but what if ancient, forgotten passageways led even deeper into the earth, into the ruins of a civilization that existed millennia before Greymane? The gothic architecture and massive bridges of the Eternal Cities with a mystically lit cave ceiling could be a really cool secret side project to add in.
I would love to see some more fantasy-themed buildings, like keeping it realistic, but there's a shaky tower here that could be magical, a haunted shipwreck, perhaps a cultist hideout or just a straight up sacrificial place
I say something simple, a small fishing village with the centerpiece being the docks and a lighthouse, then having some medium sized ships (i know you hate building ships tho still…) just scattered around not a lot tho like 3-4. Then just have a ship docking and a ship just chilling, maybe even a pirate ship raiding another boat out in the sea😅
How about a University somewhere in the mountains? Kinda like the Monastery from Fire Emblem Three Houses or Hogwarts. Technically, colleges and universities started out in medieval times (albeit the later middle ages)
More Settlements, Towns And Villages Around the map would be more realistic If this entire map is the entire Kingdom only, this isn’t how kingdoms are like 😅 So some other settlements would be good
I actually have a handful of ideas A large kingdom requires a large sum of resources, so do we have any mining quarry of sort yet? Better yet a refinery to process different ores collected from the mines, or stone workshop if it's just stones. There's also cattle farms for either meat or dairy, lumber farm and sawmill in case you havent had one I see another comment suggesting a bank and a guild hall, though i could see them being a single entity because if the bank can mange your money and belongings, why not jobs for capable hands? Another thing is military, which we could see several different projects. The main military base (which can be an expansion for the city: military district), barrack and outposts, the forge and armory, stables for horses and training ground I know there's a dock, but is there a shipyard for building and maintaining ships? Maybe even build a few fishing huts off coast (with some may or may not be guard posts in disguise) A pet project you could do is creating mini towns away from the main city, run by different nobles and aristocrats. Do mind the territory problem tho And how can i forget, i don't recall you ever built any academy for your city. Maybe an academic district? Try not make it obvious if you're going to straight up build Hogwart Another pet project is holy sites. There's always that fantasy trope with a hidden grove made by the gods themselves and blessed with some strange powers (or maybe it has a special communion site to contact them). Knowing you, you probably gonna hollow out a mountain or something A public bath house... No, i will not explain further on this I also noticed a lack of parks in the city. Maybe time to show off your gardening skill? I know there's a cathedral in the middle of the city, but i think you could open an additional district: Church district. Mainly for convents inhabited by monks/priests, and small temples and cementary for religous figures
A haunted graveyard would be cool. Idk know if this fits for your vision, but it is a good chance to add some history and more unique builds to your world.
Maybe a dragon somewhere sealed under the kingdom? Like an ancient monster that had a kingdom built over its prison, waiting for the right moment to break free and destroy Greymane :)
- Royal horse breeding stables and knight training camp would fit the noble kingdom - A bandit camp in the woods would be cool. - Maybe some smaller toll stations/ mini castles along the river, or a robber baron keep, for lore reasons - a circus/ traveling merchant camp ( my P&P main is a juggler, I am biased - a gladiator arena or colosseum in a medieval style, like a boxing ring?😂 - A mages or fairy village somewhere deep in the woods - An underground coal mine with a big hidden secret evil cave somewhere, like a cultists den maybe I looove this project and the other people in the comments had so many nice ideas 😊
Yay! Please do more farms and some isolated villages spotted around the island, to provide a sense of scale. Also, some more utility buildings in the city itself would be nice, and some generic housing. Maybe the housing could be split into different districts, each with their own sense of identity?
I think adding some kind of nest of a monster will bring the island more alive and add some lore of a creature living on the island with the towns folk.
You could complete the tavern village and also large warehouses for storing Fishes and the farm goods. I would like to see the building of stone queries. This will help in building the lore of Kingdoms of Greymane. You should also have some lore for the kingdom or a story of sort.
I'm currently building on a (already 5 year old) huge medieval city. I would like to suggest making a home area for the 'soldiers'. Some training ground and a big complex where they can rest and life! The city needs to be protected ;)

Loved your content as it started in 2012 and still love to see them upgraded!
A zoo would be pretty neat. Some of the royalties of the medieval times would display their power through an extensive menagerie.
Unique interiors for every single house.
More Settlements, Towns And Villages Around the map would be more realistic
If this entire map is the entire Kingdom only, this isn’t how kingdoms are like 😅
So some other settlements would be good
The goat is back
Ooh, very exciting! As for ideas, if you're working in the surroundings, a stonehenge-like druid ritual circle or something would be cool.
A mages collage would be amazing! It could use the more uncommon or rarer blocks like quartz or end stone to help with the magical theme
Can’t go wrong with a classic wizard tower with a floating gem on top. Love your channel jeracraft
I think it could be nice to see some builds in the woods, like ranger-camps or hidden outlaw communities.
Maybe a guild of thief hide in the city planning to steal the king treasure
I actually have a handful of ideas
A large kingdom requires a large sum of resources, so do we have any mining quarry of sort yet? Better yet a refinery to process different ores collected from the mines, or stone workshop if it's just stones. There's also cattle farms for either meat or dairy, lumber farm and sawmill in case you havent had one
I see another comment suggesting a bank and a guild hall, though i could see them being a single entity because if the bank can mange your money and belongings, why not jobs for capable hands?
Another thing is military, which we could see several different projects. The main military base (which can be an expansion for the city: military district), barrack and outposts, the forge and armory, stables for horses and training ground
I know there's a dock, but is there a shipyard for building and maintaining ships? Maybe even build a few fishing huts off coast (with some may or may not be guard posts in disguise)
A pet project you could do is creating mini towns away from the main city, run by different nobles and aristocrats. Do mind the territory problem tho
And how can i forget, i don't recall you ever built any academy for your city. Maybe an academic district? Try not make it obvious if you're going to straight up build Hogwart
Another pet project is holy sites. There's always that fantasy trope with a hidden grove made by the gods themselves and blessed with some strange powers (or maybe it has a special communion site to contact them). Knowing you, you probably gonna hollow out a mountain or something
A public bath house... No, i will not explain further on this
I also noticed a lack of parks in the city. Maybe time to show off your gardening skill?
I know there's a cathedral in the middle of the city, but i think you could open an additional district: Church district. Mainly for convents inhabited by monks/priests, and small temples and cementary for religous figures
A grand library and a big wizard tower would be pretty cool
HORSE STABLES FOR THE CAVALRY! If you haven't already made some.
Always look forward to a new update on this project.
A haunted graveyard would be cool. Idk know if this fits for your vision, but it is a good chance to add some history and more unique builds to your world.
Personally I’d like to see some updates in the house design in the kingdom, add some more of the mud, new wood types, etc
Maybe a dragon somewhere sealed under the kingdom? Like an ancient monster that had a kingdom built over its prison, waiting for the right moment to break free and destroy Greymane :)
- Royal horse breeding stables and knight training camp would fit the noble kingdom
- A bandit camp in the woods would be cool.
- Maybe some smaller toll stations/ mini castles along the river, or a robber baron keep, for lore reasons
- a circus/ traveling merchant camp ( my P&P main is a juggler, I am biased
- a gladiator arena or colosseum in a medieval style, like a boxing ring?😂
- A mages or fairy village somewhere deep in the woods
- An underground coal mine with a big hidden secret evil cave somewhere, like a cultists den maybe
I looove this project and the other people in the comments had so many nice ideas 😊
Yay! Please do more farms and some isolated villages spotted around the island, to provide a sense of scale. Also, some more utility buildings in the city itself would be nice, and some generic housing. Maybe the housing could be split into different districts, each with their own sense of identity?
I would love to see some steampunk airships flying around the kingdoms, along with a underground crimson themed nether portal.
I think adding some kind of nest of a monster will bring the island more alive and add some lore of a creature living on the island with the towns folk.
Maybe a stained glass window depicting the most memorable parts in the project could be included
You could complete the tavern village and also large warehouses for storing Fishes and the farm goods.
I would like to see the building of stone queries. This will help in building the lore of Kingdoms of Greymane.
You should also have some lore for the kingdom or a story of sort.
You could finish the sewers roof and add items from the caves and cliffs update.
I'd love to see an adventurer's guild have their town hall and other outposts stationed around the entire map
Could you do a couple smaller castles/forts/millitary camps? Those are my favorites to see!
I'm currently building on a (already 5 year old) huge medieval city. I would like to suggest making a home area for the 'soldiers'. Some training ground and a big complex where they can rest and life!
The city needs to be protected ;)
I'd love to see a secret Society Headquarters or Hideouts for the Less than Lawful, Maybe even Ruins/Tombs of Past Important Individuals.
