The Demolisher barrel combined with the stock attachment point and the upside-down Stockade stock make a nice little M79 replica.

When I saw this, I was like, "Wait. Radioactive?!?. I know that guy! Really glad you're trying his stuff. He has a lot of great parts on Etsy. I plan on getting his dead space remover for my hammer shots at some point.
Not gonna lie, I was betting that a stock Hammershot wouldn't have enough power for the Demolisher kit.

Purple rockets with the purple splatter design? The yellow one also has a similar vibe to the original Demolisher caution detailing. Big ammo is always fun.

I've been curious about these for a bit, but held off on buying them or printing them until I saw a video about them. Lo and behold, the Captain steps up to the plate. Definitely what I expected when it comes to performance. I'll probably pass on these. That being said, I'm curious about Radioactive's X Shot Reflex 6 cylinders and barrels. The Reflex 6 is one of my personal favorite pistols, and making them shoot different ammo is a great idea, I think. Radioactive has a 5 shot Mega cylinder for the Reflex. With the new red X Shot color scheme on store shelves right now, and Mega blasters typically coming in red, it seems like a no brainer!

Doubt it was 14.. it's not about inefficiencies, it's just a very small plunger tube. The sledgehammer mod does make everything quite a bit easier, but I've achieved 52fps with demolisher rockets personally, and 219fps with the stock tube and half darts.

@@stuntmatt7124 219, and yeah, it's a little difficult at that spec. If I remove the spacer it drops down to 207 but I can actually prime it one handed.
Hammershot upgrades are always worth it. Bangarang!
I can only think of the TF2 Pyro's flare guns when I saw this kit. I may have to pick it up.
The problem with demolisher rockets is that most stock blasters fire them are so weak you can practically get better performance tossing them with backspin like a football. so to use something normally fires an elite with them... yeah
Cosmetic wise these both look amazing for a prop.

My problem with the Hammershot: people keep making really cool stuff for it, but the performance just... isn't there. Breaking 90FPS on a Hammershot is near-impossible without extreme overhauling.
The key is understanding that high FPS is not the goal with Hammershot builds. If you want high FPS you really do need to look to other platforms. I mostly use Hammershots in HvZ where high FPS has little to no real advantage because your targets come to you. 80 fps is more than enough when the standard engagement range is 25 ft. :)
It may have been difficult to do 2 years ago, but 100-115fps is fairly easy these days. 8kg spring, dead space filler, brass barrel cylinder, craft foam gasket upgrade.
I actually have a hammershot modded to the extreme. Hits 219fps on stock plunger tube.

You probably already check, but perhaps the end of the firing tube needs a little sanding down?

A vortex barrel for a hammershot would be hilarious and awesome and I want one! If Eir can fire vortex discs, why not a hammershot?
I didn't expect for either of the barrels to be hitting 30 fps, are you utilizing an upgraded spring or a stock one?
these blaster barrels for firing alternate ammo like this will make infantry loadouts for the aux that much easier imo. granted the rocket barrel is completely invalidated by the demolisher, the mega xl one could be quite useful. makes these blasters prime candidates as a third blaster on most loadouts.

The Meaker 28 has far superior performance.
Maybe a 3d printed revolver based on the old nagant system would generate a better seal?
I think worker makes a 10kg spring. Might get some nice pop with that.

Someone should fit a custom plunger tube to one of these that doesn't put the spring in the grip, because it looks like there's a lot of potential room in the shell for a beefier plunger system

@@skyraider87 I know a dude who put a brass expt in a demolisher rocket hammershot commission and it achieved 60fps. The lever system within the hammershot is actually really beneficial if you know how to leverage the mechanics.
I don’t know if this has been brought up or not, but Luchathor as you know showed that it was possible to shove a sledge fire plunger tube in the shell of a hammer shot years ago, if your interested in a Mega XL hand cannon maybe remaking one with those mods would boost the performance a bit? Just a suggestion.
It almost certainly would give a boost but I feel there are far better ways to achieve better performance easier. Now if it was possible to fit 2 or 3 MegaXL rounds in a hammershot cylinder I would totally go for it. But not for a single shot. Not when far better options exist.

Unfortunately the rotator is not friendly to modification, and there arent any easy attachment points for barrel extensions.

What do you recomend as a first hammershot mod, i'm looking for a higher dart count and a neat external kit that work together and not like one hampering the other.. i finally managed to get two caution stripe hammershots here in Holland so i'd love to start tinkering with them!
I would recommend either the Gavin Fuzzy 8 rd cylinder or one of Radioactives high capacity half dart cylinders.
@@CaptainXavier i see, might actually go for gavin's kit, since i also got his 6-sh kit with both the bigger cylinder and barrel. Did gavin only have one external kit option or did he have a full kit? It slipped my mind..

A necessary idea for acquiring a mega XL firing Hammershot
An expanded plunger tube would probably be easier. It's not missing spring power, it just needs more volume for better performance. That being said, I do alot of tweaking on my personal hammershots and did achieve a high of 52fps on 8kg with an extended draw mod.
