    VOLTAGE REDUCER FOR GOLF CARTS
This installation video will walk you through the process of installing an LEDGlow Golf Cart Voltage Reducer on your electric golf cart. A voltage reducer is necessary for installing any LEDGlow Golf Cart Light Kit to a battery configuration that does not provide exactly 12 volts of power: If you purchased our 36v ~ 72v Electric Golf Cart Kit, a separate reducer is not needed as the voltage reducer will be built in. Look no further than LEDGlow when you need to find the best golf cart voltage reducer for your EZGO, Yamaha, Club Car, and other electric models:
    1. We recommend attaching the voltage reducer to the highest voltage available up to 60 volts. Use a voltmeter to identify the highest available voltage. In this example, the golf cart uses six 8-volt batteries, providing a maximum of 48 volts of electricity.
    2. Once a battery with the maximum available voltage has been located, choose an area to mount the reducer where the wires will not be stretched or obstructed.
    3. Clean the mounting location, and the reducer, with an alcohol prep pad.
    4. Use double-sided adhesive tape to mount the reducer to the location.
    5. The voltage reducer has two sets of wires: The input wires will be connected to the golf cart battery. These are the green and yellow wires labeled input. The output wires will be connected to the lighting kit. They are the red and black wires labeled output.
    6. Attach the yellow input wire to the positive terminal of the battery.
    7. Attach the green input wire from the reducer to the negative terminal of the battery.
    8. Insert the red wire from the lighting kit’s control box into the connector on the red output wire from the reducer, and crimp the connection.
    9. Insert the black wire from the lighting kit’s control box into the connector on the black output wire from the reducer and crimp the connection.
    10. Use zip ties to secure the wires. Do not over-tighten the zip ties as it may splice open the wires.
    11. Once the voltage reducer has been properly connected, power the lighting kit and test for full functionality.
