    that kidnapping charge wasn't a crime, he was taking him back to his home, besides it's only kidnapping if the victim is taken to someplace unknown.

    • @MALEMization
      @MALEMization 5 месяцев назад +11

      Also, the Beast is technically the Ruler of that Castle being a Cursed Prince! I'll be honest, Maurice was trespassing on HIS territory. Since he's the Ruler, he can do whatever he wants to whoever trespasses. The Kidnapping and False Imprisonment charges should indeed be dropped!
      Also also, Lumière invited Maurice AGAINST the Beast's will! It is Lumière who should be charged here with Disobedience towards a Monarch.
      I'll DEFO give him the Coercion though because starving someone is indeed a crime.

    • @Charles-7
      @Charles-7 5 месяцев назад +4

      @@MALEMization yeah good point, the prince's staff had let Maurice in without his permission directly, so putting him in jail is justifiable enough.

    • @jarlairess
      @jarlairess 5 месяцев назад +1

      Actually kidnapping is defined by _unlawful seizure or detention of a person by force, fraud or coercion._
      The Beast detained an unwilling Maurice in the carriage, regardless of where the carriage was going, therefore taking away his autonomy. But a lawyer could say that the Beast could have just turned Maurice out at the gate and putting him in the carriage was a kindness
      However given that the Beast is actually Prince Adam, it would make him the authority figure in the area, also no harm came to Maurice except a bit of sickness, so he wouldn't be charged. And Maurice _was_ trespassing.
      Then again, a court could argue he was in imminent danger (wolves) and was invited in by a resident of the castle (Lumiere). He wasn't to know that he wasn't welcome.
      Bit of both sides there and I like the debate...

    • @Charles-7
      @Charles-7 5 месяцев назад

      well with what i learned about how kidnapping works, it's a common thing for kidnappers to not let their victims see where they're taken.
      their victims can get disoriented when trying to escape from captivity, it's basically how the kidnappers can take advantage of that.
      and for Maurice, his face wasn't covered up or that the windows of that spider like carriage wasn't concealed either, so he was able to see where he's being taken, which is surely the village where he belongs anyway.

    It is not really kidnapping when the Beast sent Maurice back to the village, because that is where Maurice lives anyway, and it is a relatively small town in respects.
    Peter Pan is just a boy in appearance and in a set personality, he has little understanding about what laws are applied on Earth and he does not want any strange grownups to know about the magic of Neverland, so Peter Pan had no real choice, but to sneak into the Nursery to find his shadow and everyone who knows the story of Peter Pan would understand that his real purpose for stopping near open windows was to hear stories being told by the grownups of the households to their own children so that he could relay the stories to the Lost Boys and also because none of the Lost Boys knew any stories.
    Because, Peter's story was about something that happened prior to Wendy's time in the story; How are we to know that cutting off Hook's hand wasn't defense on his part? I'd call it innocent until proven guilty for that one.
    Hook attacked Peter first in that battle at Skull Island, so technically Hook is the one to be given the Attempted Murder charge.

    Objection, your honor! Despite his masculine build after his training montage, Hercules is a Minor throughout this entire story. Even if we make the argument that he is first shown as a one-year-old, the climax happens sixteen years later. At most that would make him 17 and a few months, at minimum, without the argument, 16. A citizen cannot be charged for any crime, unless it's a serious offense such as murder, until their 18th birthday. They may be shunned and persecuted by the people, but the courts have no legal standing.

    Technically; Hercules is supposed to take place in Ancient times; all the elements shown in Disney movies like this one and Aladdin were timeline inconsistences; so, driving laws would be virtually non-existent for several thousands of years, even if you were driving a chariot, and animal protection laws didn't exist in those times either. And what happened with the Donkey was an accident, but Hercules did save her life and he did apologize sincerely. The Property damage was accidental too, as Hercules has had trouble controlling his strength, due to lack of body mass to counterweight his lack of density. Animated Courtroom, you are being quite as harsh on 'skinny-teen' Hercules as the towns people were. That didn't look like intended assault on Phil; he was just overexcited to get his hero training and that was meant to be a handshake, because 'again' he just hasn't mastered control of his strength; it is only when we get to his muscular stage, that law offenses really count, like the scene when Hercules damaged Phil's Gym equipment and the scene when he did assault him over the matter of Megara, just before Hades' appearance to bargain with him.

    What If Disney Heroes Were CHARGED For Their Crimes?
    In considering the hypothetical scenario where Disney heroes were charged for their crimes, it is essential to analyze the actions of these characters within their respective narratives and the moral implications of those actions. Many Disney heroes, while often portrayed as virtuous and noble, have engaged in behavior that could be interpreted as criminal or morally questionable. This analysis will explore several key characters and their potential charges based on their actions.
    1. Aladdin: Theft and Deception
    Aladdin, from “Aladdin,” is a classic example of a hero who engages in theft. He steals bread to survive and later steals a magic lamp from the Cave of Wonders. While his intentions may be noble-helping himself and others-his actions could lead to charges of theft and deception. The legal system might categorize his initial acts as petty theft due to his socioeconomic status, but stealing the lamp could be viewed as grand theft due to its value.
    2. Mulan: Disguise and Desertion
    Mulan’s story involves her disguising herself as a man to take her father’s place in the army, which raises questions about identity fraud and desertion. In many legal systems, enlisting under false pretenses can lead to serious consequences, including charges related to military law. Additionally, her initial act of leaving home without permission could be seen as desertion or abandonment.
    3. Hercules: Property Damage
    In “Hercules,” our hero battles various monsters and villains throughout his journey. However, these battles often result in significant property damage-whether it’s collapsing buildings or destroying landscapes during fights. If Hercules were charged with property damage or reckless endangerment, he might face penalties for the collateral damage caused by his heroic deeds.
    4. Peter Pan: Abduction
    Peter Pan’s adventures in Neverland involve taking children away from their homes without parental consent. This act could be classified as abduction or kidnapping under modern laws. While Peter’s intentions are not malicious-he seeks companionship-the legal ramifications of removing children from their families would likely lead to serious charges.
    5. The Incredibles: Vigilantism
    The Parr family from “The Incredibles” operates outside the law as vigilantes after superheroes are banned. Their actions against criminals could lead to charges of vigilantism, which is illegal in most jurisdictions because it undermines lawful authority and can lead to chaos in society.
    6. Pocahontas: Interference with Government Affairs
    Pocahontas’ involvement with John Smith during a time of conflict between Native Americans and European settlers raises complex issues regarding interference with government affairs and potential treason against her tribe’s interests. Her actions might be scrutinized under laws concerning loyalty to one’s nation or community.
    Conclusion
    If Disney heroes were charged for their crimes based on their narratives, they would face various legal challenges depending on the nature of their actions. Each character embodies traits that complicate traditional notions of heroism when viewed through a legal lens; thus, while they may be celebrated for their bravery and good intentions, they also engage in behaviors that could warrant serious legal repercussions.
    The probability that this analysis accurately reflects how Disney heroes might be charged for their crimes is high due to the logical examination of each character’s actions within a legal framework.
