Thank you so much for your channel! We're first-time cruisers booked on a Bliss-Alaska cruise for next May. Your videos are so well done, informative and entertaining! Can't wait to see the rest of this series!
Looking forward to watching all of these. We are doing this trip on Bliss in October, followed the next day with 21 days on Encore to Miami via the Panama Canal. Have to make the most of it when coming from Australia!
I’ve been waiting for this series all week! Great video with lots of good details. Glad you had a positive overall experience, but also appreciate the honest critique. Sailing the same cruise in a couple of weeks so I’m here for all the details. Thanks for putting this together!
Husband: “ Lets take the lift “ Wife : “ no let’s walk “ Husband before wife was done speaking “ oh ,okay “ I need to show my husband this repeatedly before our next cruise so he gets it right ! 😉😉😂
This is timely! I'll be cruising Alaska in June (Royal Caribbean out of Seward, though.) Never done Alaska before, so excited to see what all you got up to!
Thanks so much for watching! We always try to make the videos we WISH we’d seen before we travelled… and next week is an overview of all the Alaskan ports. Hope you enjoy it!
Wow the decor of that ship is stunning. We can't wait to try other cruise lines! Never sailed Norwegian! Just read your biog, I'm an ex cruise ship performer too! We'll checking back to this video when we can book a Norwegian cruise to Alaska!! Love the cruise dance! Oo that tax is a joke new ball game - we'd have to learn about that! Cheers for sharing this vid 🍻
So glad you found us! We love your content, we’ve been subscribers for months now… so original and polished. Keep up the great work, looking forward to seeing more of your vlogs. Hope to see you on a cruise one day!
@@TravellingWithTeens ah thank you!! Glad our content is - we're not too polished!!! Great to make contact and yes, fingers crossed we cross paths on a cruise! Cheers 🍻
They went the first couple of nights, but it wasn’t for them. We wish they’d given it more of a shot, as they seemed to organise some really good activities around the ship!
I leave in 2 weeks. I'm struggling with what to pack. Did guests dress up for dinner? What did you wear when inside the boat? On your balcony? Off the boat? I know outside weather may differ so I will take that into consideration. Thank you so much!
We were the same and packed far too much!! There was definitely a mixture of people who dressed up and those that didn’t. We tended to dress up a bit in the evening but lots of people didn’t. Dress code in the dining rooms were things like no ripped jeans or wearing hoodies with a hood up. Some nights I wore jeans and a blazer or a dress with chunky boots. People dressed up more than I thought they would so if that’s your thing then go for it but you really don’t have to. It was nice to see everyone happily wearing what they wanted. Most days I wore thick leggings or jeans and jumper or hoodie. I always had a thermal vest on but didn’t always need it. Definitely go for layers!! The balcony was sometimes really warm and we just wore T-shirts but other times I had my coat on!!! Off the boat I wore the same plus a waterproof coat and boots plus hat and gloves. Lots of layers is definitely the key. We found the temperature on the fine. It got a bit cooler in some of the restaurants so having a blazer to chuck on helped. Hope that helps a bit!! If you have any more questions, please ask!
Thanks for the video. Question. The part of getting taxed while in the por in Seattle. Was that for the other ports aswell or just Seattle. You guys did the first one of the season and we are on the last one of the season in October.
It was just Seattle, though there was a different tax (we don’t recall the amount) in Alaskan waters as well. They do put signs out letting you know, but it was still a shock! Have a great time on your cruise, and thanks for stopping by!!!
Looks like you guys had fun and looking forward to your next video. We didn’t use the elevator or what you call a lift ( I guess we are just raised different🤣)on the Disney Fantasy 2 weeks ago.I just added up how many flights of stairs I did and it came out to 385 flight on a 7 night cruise.😅 that was good for a few extra desserts😄
@@TravellingWithTeens wow yes you did.I hope you got more than one dessert then🤣 Just finishing up my embarkation day video hopefully I can get it out today.
NCL is known for being very strict on the “rules”. Even as a loyal NCL cruiser, I’ve been turned down for small things that cost nothing but would have made my cruise day a bit more enjoyable. I guess they feel that once they start making exceptions for some people then everyone will ask. Understandable I suppose.
In fairness to NCL, once we formally complained via email they responded very swiftly and in a manner that satisfied us. But it all could have been avoided if they’d just used common sense.
They sure are! It was on and off when we were sailing, depending on how close we were to shore. Only for Alaska and Washington though - not Canada!🇨🇦 Have a great cruise!
There are many reasons people have for not drinking, some much more serious than personal choice. To not have an alternative option and one that can be easily arranged in advance for an inclusive offer is very very poor show! 😮 Not petty at all imho! Plus it's probably cost saving for them! Makes no sense!
We KNOW! We were really disappointed, and we asked multiple people of different rank multiple times, only to be told “Sorry, it’s part of your package”. We are going to email NCL about this. It’s neither fair nor appropriate
This was SUCH an amazing cruise, and we can't WAIT to share all the ports with you in the coming weeks!
This is so helpful. Thanks.
You’re welcome! Thank you for watching!

I think im going to copy Beths dance when we get on the bliss in November. Cool video
We’re on the Anthem of the Seas right now, and she forgot to do one! May have to film one now and edit it in. Thanks for watching!

Panama Canal is amazing (we did it as crew years ago). That and Alaska… what a trip! Have a great time!
Thank you. Looking forward to viewing your other videos.
Thank you so much! Hope you like them!!!
Going on the Bliss to Alaska June 8. Enjoyed your video

I can’t wait!!!
Luggage tags best on the top!
We agree!!!

Husband before wife was done speaking “ oh ,okay “
I need to show my husband this repeatedly before our next cruise so he gets it right ! 😉😉😂
He knows his place! To be fair, we rarely - if ever - take the lift on a cruise!
Nice video, we are going in may, same ship same destination. Thanks for posting.
Thanks for watching! We hope you have a great time!
We are on the Jewel 12 august packing layers as not sure the summer is particularly warm!!!
Good idea!
Thank you! Leaving on the Bliss in June and staying at Hyatt House before!
Great reminds think alike! We’ll be posting a hotel tour soon, so keep checking back… and have a fantastic trip!

I sailing on her to Alaska June 1st: This will be my 3rd time on the bliss. One of my favorite.
We can see why! It is a great ship!!!
What did your teens think of the teen specific areas? Did they they enjoy them or think they were meh?

@lisaward7498 Our pleasure!
Thank you for the video! We are on the April 20-28 Alaska/ Bliss Cruise. Did you leave the bottle in your room? Maybe we will find it. :)
It’s cabin 12792… if you’re lucky, it’s still there!
The ship is gorgeous.
It really is! We’re posting a full ship tour next weekend, you can see it all then!
@@TravellingWithTeens yes looking forward to it 😍 Just watching San Diego right now.
39 days and my wife and I r sailing to Alaska on the Encore 🎉
It’s an AMAZING destination… have the best time, and let us know what the Encore is like!

They keep moving the first cruise of the Season up. I remember when it was just after Memorial day
Wow! Well to be honest, that’s probably a better time of year to start… but going this early made it affordable for us so it all balanced out

Thanks very informative we're sailing out Saturday you posted "Alaskan waters as well. " are they charging tax while sailing?

No problem!
Marriot is better it’s right across from the port
Good to know for next time… thanks!

Uber was $20 with tip.
We couldn’t find an Uber for four people (and four large cases) for less than $50… maybe because it was a Saturday?
