Happy Saturday friends!! Let’s have an amazing weekend! What would you have bought that I put back? Share your favorite finds from this week below! Love you all ! 😘💙Laura
I am 70 and have been shopping Goodwill for 30 or more years...it was the only way I could dress fabulously for my job! You always put a smile on my face! I love your enthusiasm !!!
That’s definitely a napkin holder. The top of the ‘stems’ on each side pinch the napkins in to hold them from falling out but easy to pull napkins out when needed. I was around when these were popular, back in the day 🙂
I graduated high school in ‘73 & was a preteen in the 60’s. Although we bought albums back then we also bought tons of 45 rpm’s, because, who wants the whole album if you only like one song! Where I grew up in WA state we kept our 45’s in things like that little brass holder so we could get to them easily. Mine had a place of honor on my dresser next to my portable record player. And of course your albums & 45’s had to be stored on their ends to prevent warping....especially in WA! Just what we did.♥️
I was in high school in the 70's. So many of the clothing items you buy, including belts and purses are things we wore then. A blast from the past for sure.
The shell made by Frankhoma was made in my town of Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Frankhoma was huge during the 50's and 60's and they made dishes and pottery pieces in every color. They closed the factory in the early 90's but their pieces are very collectible.
The 1.99 red tag brassy holder thingy with the spring handle... my sister and I put our 45 records in one when we were kids!! Lol... I posted before the rest of the video. I just got excited to see it!
Those vases you got from India I have two smaller ones. They were painted with vibrant colors all around. But the paint does ware off in time. The unknown piece you have, cup holder, we used it for mail, letters, bills and such.
Its a good day when Laura had a shop with me video! You are so inspiring! I’m learning how to look at thrift store finds in a new way. Love your style of dressing and decorating. 💕
Your Goodwills in your area are so organized and full of treasures. Here in Tennessee its hit or miss and very sparse. Always so much fun to be a part of your thrifting day♥️
Oh yeah! We’d love to see some short cooking clips at the end if you have time. No matter what you do, don’t turn what you love into something you hate. Burnout is ugly, I know, just ask me! We love you, if you’re having fun, so are we!😊😘
You have become my favorite thrifting blogger. Your filming skills are exceptional, slow, clear and thorough. It is as if I am there with you. I have watched you since you were reamed us with the other young woman.(name????). Your blogs are so enjoyable and entertaining. Love the travel Blogs as well. Thank you , Laura.
HI Laura- You don’t need to make a whole separate cooking channel just make a recipe and add it into your blogs that you’re already marking. I watch someone else who vlogs and she’s called Stephanie and when she cooks (not every vlog) she calls it “Chef Steph” makes a recipe for dinner and a complimentary cocktail to go with her meal and it’s always a hit with all of her viewers. Your viewers Love you Laura, they’ll totally dig a cooking session!
Laura, keep the bag, the money you could get for it would just vanish but the purse will give you pleasure for years to come, besides it looks like you!
I can honestly say that when you and Selena go shopping, I can pick out almost everything each of you are going to at least pick up!! know you both as well as my own daughters styles!! God bless
The brass piece could be used on a desk for mail: incoming, outgoing. The hand on the carved bag is a HAMSA. The center is shaped like "the all seeing eye." Popular in eastern cultures.
Weirdly and yes, it’s weird, but in my mind when I cook, I kind of play my own cooking show in my head. Like what I’d do or say. Lol. Thanks for everything. You do it all so good! ❤️
I have a metal rack mystery, myself. Mine rotates and holds 4 items. I have found 2 ramekins that fit, they are a fairly common item, waiting to pick up 2 more on the thrift. Then it will serve condiments. It was in a free box. But, I must admit, I occasionally buy something that I have no idea what it is, just so I can solve the mystery. Laura, so excited about cooking with you! My son and I are making a pot of soup, together, today. He's the baby, 18. HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND ☮❤
You are at my favorite Goodwill. I am there 2x a week. It was fun to see you in my space😅 it was soo much fun seeing some of the goodies I recognized. I had looked at the cactus too. I’m so glad it got a good home.
Denim jacket + sleeves thought: could you take the bottom ruffles from that cute black top you bought with the 3-layered ¨ruffly"sleeves (you thought it would be ¨good for a cool summer night¨), and sew them to the jacket? You could so pull off that look, Laura!
Yes would love to see your cooking videos, all your veggies look so marvelous and a couple I didn't recognize, so it looks interesting. I enjoy watching all you travel videos and the thrifting videos. I have been binge watching since I found your channel so now I'm posting to let you know and I love your vinyettes and how you decorate. All the best to you and your hubby and family. Cheryl
Hi Laura! I love your taste and style! You and Selena got me into turquoise jewelry! I hope you would do a video on what your process is for researching, identifying and describing your thrifted items especially home decor and jewelry. Much love all the way from Yukon, Canada! ❤
Hi Laura, I think the brass caddy is for 7inch single vinyl records. Just a smaller version of an LP record stand. My apologies for such a late suggestion. I am new to your channel. Kind regards
Hi Laura! Just found your channel today and have been binge watching all your videos. Love your filming and editing style and the items you pick up are very cool. Keep up the great work :)
I just started watching, and am having so much fun ! Love your style and original ideas, as well as your decorating ideas! Thanks for all your hard work!
The brass holder looks like a small magazine holder, or letters/ mail. Love the leather handbag, which I had something like that when I was in high school back in mid seventies. My clasp was a leather strap that you wound around a miniature squirrel. Didn’t hold much, managed to hold my wallet, miniature hairbrush and a little mirror, which I still have. Oh and of course, my keys. Sadly, I no longer have my handbag, don’t know whatever happened to it. I suspect my mother got rid of it when I moved house and no longer lived there. I remember my grandmother had a brass piece like that, she would drape a bunch of grapes over it. Looked like something in the Roman times! Lol!
Those stocking holders would be cute attached to the wall as a towel or robe hook, with a place for small rolled towels or decor or even beauty products, in a fancy Victorian inspired bathroom. I could see them hung near the shower to hook your robe and/or towel on while showering, and set other things on the "shelf". I really enjoy your channel. Thank you!
Have you ever been to The Orange Circle here in Orange, CA? Have you ever heard of it? There are a bunch of antique/vintage stores all clumped together down there. You know, the kind of stores that are huge and have a million vendors in each one? While you're down here you could also go to The Cypress Swap Meet, The Goldenwest College Swap Meet, and the OCC Swap Meet. All three of those colleges are connected to each other and they are all like huge garage sales. I think they are on both Saturday and Sunday each week.
This may be a duplicate reply, the first just disappeared! Love your more frequent videos! Putting myself in your shoes, I would be so stressed to think about another venture. You love what you do and we love what you do! Someday, when you have your party (Luau?), I would love a sneak peek video. Behind the scenes, whether you're cooking and entertaining or the caterers are setting up. You have such a wonderfully welcoming personality and it would be a lot of fun to see your party!
No, don't make it work. Just share meals or recipes that you try and really like on your regular channel. We'd be happy with that. Right guys? You can use the stocking holder for a seasonal garland, grapevine wreath or string of fairie lights. Can use it all year round. Cute how you show yourself trucking down the highway! Like that first purse. Thanx for taking us along! Take care🙂
Loving all the extra content coming out from both of you. Once a week from the Recycled Life was just not enough. I think of you every week here in Australia when I’m out Op Shopping as we call it. So many beautiful pottery pieces on the shelves here you would just love.
It's a Mid century napkin holder or a letter sorter! I've seen some larger that are magazine holders! I only been following you for a few days and I've watched almost all of your videos! I'm a collector of things especially jewelry ! Love you and your adventures with your sweet husband! I'm glad he found the album he's been looking for! It's about the hunt!😁God bless you!🙏🏾💜
Announced that they are taking time to work on their individual channels in projects this year period Laura has mentioned that she is moving it harder to meet up, also needing and wanting to spend time with their families more.
I would have bought that sooo cute bear at the beginning of store#3. Laura you so deserve both bags for yourself. I love your shopping vids. Love your style and you!
I thought of you yesterday. I found a free people black floral dress for $4.99 at goodwill! I was like I’m having a Laura moment!!! I was truly so excited!
OMG first of all I can't wait until you cooking videos start! Secondly your goodwill finds are totes epic! I missed out on this sick Ava Yetter sterling ring set you recently sold and I've been scowering the antique malls and thrift stores for them lol. LOVE your style, hoping your finds will help inspire my decor as well
Wow, that leather bag! I love watching you thrifting, because I also have a passion for brown leather bags and boots, baskets and brass. It feels like I was thrifting even though all small shops including thrift stores are currently closed in my country.
Those brass vases and the more minimal set with patina are amazing! And kind of hope for the recipe for that eggplant parm in the intro. It looks delicious and doable. 😍😄
Each video.is fantastic. you have such beautiful art deco in your home. I also like the.misshapen vases. I would have bought that brass plant stand,to put a meditation figurine on top. when you show us how you use your purchases in.your home, it makes your videos so exciting. I.do miss you and Selena, but am.enjoying your style . and your purchases .
Wish you would speak to us while you’re shopping. What happened to you and Selena and the office you were both planning? Missed rRecycled Life this week.
The brass stocking hangers are so pretty. I think they could be used year round. A lot of people hang different seasonal garlands on their fireplace mantels. Or to hold strings of mini lights. Lots of options.
Fantastic as usual! Thank you for taking us along to look for treasures. I was a little sad at the end when I found out the finds in this video were in yesterday's sale 😞 Oh well, I know you will find more wonderful items so it's all good.
Happy Saturday friends!! Let’s have an amazing weekend! What would you have bought that I put back? Share your favorite finds from this week below! Love you all ! 😘💙Laura
I loved the owl in the last shop.
I am 70 and have been shopping Goodwill for 30 or more years...it was the only way I could dress fabulously for my job! You always put a smile on my face! I love your enthusiasm !!!
I love everything. Even the broken ones.🥰 But seriously, after seeing that part of your closet, I kinda want a closet makeover as well as the tour.😁😁😁
Pretty sure that’s just a letter E
The large Polish pottery piece of pottery. Not sure what it was but loved the colors.
Looks like a letter holder to me! You know, when we used to get bills in the mail!
Same age only grew up on Long Island NY Dance parties every weekend So much fun
I thought it was a 45 record holder.
I immediately thought of 45s when I saw this too. Graduated 1974
Laura,
Use pool noodles for your boots in your closet, noodles keep them standing up and keeps them in great shape.
Separated paper egg cartons work well for that as well 😊
Back In the day those brass things were made to hold vinyl records.
I was in high school in the 70's. So many of the clothing items you buy, including belts and purses are things we wore then. A blast from the past for sure.
Same with me.
Heck, I was in junior high. I remember all the leather, macrame, prairie dresses, boho- hippy dippy orange everything.
2 Laura videos in one week?!?! Score!!
I’m gonna try to keep em coming! 🥳❤️
The shell made by Frankhoma was made in my town of Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Frankhoma was huge during the 50's and 60's and they made dishes and pottery pieces in every color. They closed the factory in the early 90's but their pieces are very collectible.
What the brass whatsit reminds me of is a record holder (old 45's).
The caddy’s and napkin holders are good for makeup pallets also
The 1.99 red tag brassy holder thingy with the spring handle... my sister and I put our 45 records in one when we were kids!! Lol... I posted before the rest of the video. I just got excited to see it!
Yes, I was thinking a 45 record holder too!
Maybe a newspaper 📰
I was thinking that's what I used it for.
I think it was a napkin holder, but great for notebooks, cards, stationery, etc on a desk
I couldn’t believe you put back the wood and metal basket. I loved it !!
My thought too.
That caddy looks like a 45 record holder my grandma had
Hi, I agree.
The “what is this” looks like a decorative “E”
@Laura Caldwell I found the same thing at Value village today except it was the letter C
💯👍
that looks likes an 'e' to me.
The little gold holder is a mail holder.😊
The brown purse looks like it's made in Bali.
Yup
That's definitely a Hamsa, it's a middle eastern symbol.
Marroco!!!!!
Laura, I’m pretty sure that caddy is for mail. My grandmother had one on her desk.
That's the first thing I thought of.
That’s what I think it is too!
Definitely for letters
I thought it was something for your desk as well!
My grandmother had one too for mail
Those vases you got from India I have two smaller ones. They were painted with vibrant colors all around. But the paint does ware off in time. The unknown piece you have, cup holder, we used it for mail, letters, bills and such.
The stocking holders would be great as towel/robe holders in a bohemian styled bathroom.
Its a good day when Laura had a shop with me video! You are so inspiring! I’m learning how to look at thrift store finds in a new way. Love your style of dressing and decorating. 💕
I agree mail holder my grandma had something like that on her desk
HI LAURA, HAD FUN WITH YOU TODAY, THANK YOU FOR TAKING ME ALONG!! BY THE WAY IT'S A LETTER HOLDER!! GOD BLESS!! ❤❤
Thank you for joining me Joyce!
OMG the big wood slab made into a clock! I swear everyone had one of these when I was growing up.
Hahaha for real
Your Goodwills in your area are so organized and full of treasures. Here in Tennessee its hit or miss and very sparse. Always so much fun to be a part of your thrifting day♥️
It’s a toast holder.. popular in England last century..ur awesome
Oh yeah! We’d love to see some short cooking clips at the end if you have time. No matter what you do, don’t turn what you love into something you hate. Burnout is ugly, I know, just ask me! We love you, if you’re having fun, so are we!😊😘
Well it's 10-30pm here in England, and up you pop.what!!!love what you do and buy,but my Friday just wasn't the same without vintage life😂😂😂😂
That leather tooled bag is what dreams are made of....
You have become my favorite thrifting blogger.
Your filming skills are exceptional, slow, clear and thorough. It is as if I am there with you. I have watched you since you were reamed us with the other young woman.(name????).

Blogs as well.
Thank you , Laura.
Sorry for the typos.
Your young, fresh and always put a smile on my face. Thank you. From Maine
The little brass holder, my grandma use to have one and it held her mail/bills on both sides
That’s a letter rack! 😊
HI Laura- You don’t need to make a whole separate cooking channel just make a recipe and add it into your blogs that you’re already marking. I watch her also! She's pretty darn funny, too!🤣
I love your videos but the music is way too loud. Something softer would work better.
Lol I had just lowered the volume as I read your comment!
I turned it down when the music started blaring but then I had to turn it up to hear Laura talk!
I was loving the music.
I love Laura's music choices, the volume is fine for me.
I love the music.
Yes, all for good cooking by Laura!
Yes Laura, we understand being nervous, but we love having fun with you. We love it all❤
You're so much fun, Laura! Love the video!
Laura you’re the best. You’re a great person and a delight to follow as you thrift.
Thank you Dolly! ❤️
Laura, keep the bag, the money you could get for it would just vanish but the purse will give you pleasure for years to come, besides it looks like you!
I think it's to hold mail.
What we use to call a "letter" holder.
That's what I was thinking too
I can honestly say that when
you and Selena go shopping,
I can pick out almost everything
each of you are going to at least
pick up!! know you both as well
as my own daughters styles!!
God bless
The brass piece could be used on a desk for mail: incoming, outgoing.

I love the little Laura face map tracker! 😂 It's actually nice to see where your adventures take you ❤️🗺️
Weirdly and yes, it’s weird, but in my mind when I cook, I kind of play my own cooking show in my head. Like what I’d do or say. Lol. Thanks for everything. You do it all so good! ❤️

Yep,it's was used for 45 records and they WERE repurposed in later years. Really LOVE your style young lady.!!
I just started watching, and am having so much fun ! Love your style and original ideas, as well as your decorating ideas! Thanks for all your hard work!

For your boots, get some pool noodles, cut them up, and use them to stuff your boots to prevent creases.
That Polish Pottery was beautiful. I have a weakness for it.
Small records. I think with paper covers on them that go in that napkin holder thing
We want the cooking blog because you are so good at this and of course we all love you and Selena.❤️💕
A lot of ppl are saying it is a mail holder...agree. I personally would hold a couple of my old albums as decor next to my old record player :)
You put so much ease and love into what you do , it's impossible not to luv you . Beautiful !
I am dying over that purse!!! The colorful one!!! You found some great things! Thank you for showing different goodwill! I'm flying out there soon!!!

Oh my goodness Laura, all the bags 💜 and so much gorgeous brass 💛 Great video, as always! ✌ 💞
Just love your style!!! I have lived that time. You definitely have that flair for vintage bohemian dress and decor.
Finally someone who features MCM finds!

That napkin holder looks like a 45 rpm record holder to me!
Gotcha Laura., Go with the flow girl. Again your beautiful blue eyes with your blue sweater look fabulous!
Love your personality and your videos, that tooled leather bag though! Love it.
Loving all the extra content coming out from both of you. Once a week from the Recycled Life was just not enough. I think of you every week here in Australia when I’m out Op Shopping as we call it. So many beautiful pottery pieces on the shelves here you would just love.

How fun - Wilsonville is my home Goodwill! You make it look so good (you make everything look good).
That goodwill looked fancy lol

The Turkish coffee set with tray...did you buy? Great Buy!
Great as always. It seems you and selena are doing less together hope all is well
Announced that they are taking time to work on their individual channels in projects this year period Laura has mentioned that she is moving it harder to meet up, also needing and wanting to spend time with their families more.
Do you really believe that! They are no longer friends.
Those brass stocking holders would also be cute to hang wreaths from:)
I have the same napkin holder. I use mine for my desk to hold small note books and stickers for my Poshmark store. I love it 🥰
The brass holder can hold paper plates and paper napkins! At least that’s what we used it for in the 70s
Yesterday I drove one hour to go to a thrift store I've never been.....I' can't believe it! 🤣🤣
I would have bought that sooo cute bear at the beginning of store#3. Laura you so deserve both bags for yourself. I love your shopping vids. Love your style and you!
I hope you do some plant demo’s, on how to grow take care of and incorporate into home!
That tooled leather bag is EVERYTHING! Oh my gosh! I love it! I have a brass hand wall hanging in that same hand shape❤
It would be so easy to unstitch the belt and add your own buckle! I’ve done it ☺️
Girl, I’d be your alternative wing girl, any day!
😆
I like the way the Woodburn goodwill had their bags displayed
Where was our recycled life this week? You didn’t break up did you?
We are both taking some time to focus on our individual channels and upcoming projects ❤️
Oh Laura I hope all is well with you and Selena you two remind me so much of me and my bestie
What about the shop you and Selena were opening? I love to watch you together. Your different favorite things make it a plus.
