We had so much fun riding around Bali on scooters and testing how many massages two people can physically get in one week 🤪 But we also came away with some tips incase you ever find yourself booking a vacation to this stunning place in Indonesia.
    1. Bring travel cutlery - I guess this one works for anywhere you go but it became important for us within an hour of getting to Bali. When you’re staying in a hotel, they don’t often provide cutlery and you can be left with no way to eat the food you just bought! We use a set Aleks got from an old job but I’ve seen them at the dollar section of Target numerous times!
    2. You may already know this but Bali is known for its cheap food and experiences. It is incredibly easy to spend less than $20 per day on all the food and massages you could possibly want. Of course, there are more touristy places that will charge you higher prices but the majority of restaurants are $2-$6 USD per meal💰
    3. Have you heard of coffee that’s made from cat poop? Our tour guide likes to call it a cat-poo-ccino 🐱 Don’t worry, it’s perfectly sanitary and Aleks swears it was the best brewed coffee he’s ever had and he doesn’t make claims like that often. There are multiple plantations in Bali that sell it but we loved our experience at Bali Pulina.
    4. Find authentic experiences - this might mean different things to different people but for us, it came from a really incredible experience we had walking around the home of a Bali family as they were going about their everyday lives. We obviously love touristy things as well but something like this always reminds me why I love to travel as much as I do ✨
    5. Again, this is typical for tropical climates but Bali has bugs. They’re mostly small and harmless but I just needed to add it because it’s inevitable with how many spaces in Bali are open air and outdoors. Hotels try their best with pest control (and we had a resident gecko working on the flies for us) but you’re going to see them regardless so if that’s a non-negotiable for you, Bali may not be the place to visit🦎
But we really think it’s worth the trip and we throughly enjoyed our week exploring here. Feel free to subscribe so you can see where we end up next week and as always, thanks so much for being here 🫶🏼
