- Julian Pollack (USA), anche conosciuto con lo pseudonimo "J3PO," ha conquistato la scena musicale internazionale per il suo stile unico come tastierista e produttore.
Mescolando il jazz con la produzione di musica elettronica (nota anche come "jazztronica"), Julian ha affascinato il pubblico di tutto il mondo creando un’estesa gamma di suoni originali utilizzando alcuni dei sintetizzatori più famosi della storia della musica pop/elettronica, che mostra nelle sue performance musicali.
Ha fatto numerose tournée con il leggendario bassista Marcus Miller ed è stato in scena con Herbie Hancock, Talib Kweli, David Sanborn, Eric Harland, Simon Phillips, Chris Botti e molti altri.
Ad accompagnarlo al basso c'è lo straordinario bassista Hadrien Feraud (FR) e alla batteria l'incredibile Gianluca Pellerito (IT).
Il trio eseguirà musica originale dai dischi di J3PO, oltre a alcuni noti brani standard.

The versatibilty of Julian's colorful performance suprises me every time. Never get bored listening to him, it is always a journey in different dimensions even he plays known melodies. Solo or with a group he deliveres the best of entertainment. I'v already seen the great bassist Hadrian live in Budapest, wish J3PO will come once to Hungary also. Drummer Gianluca fits perfect too.
Creativity! in the composition, the sounds, the choruses, the ideas... lots of talent and work here. People using their brain.

Julian and Hadrien just play great. Sorry to say that Gianluca the drummer is a real uptempo problem: the sound of his drum set is MUCH too muddy, boomy and low for some of his over-busy play. Normally the drummer gives a clear beat and drive espacially for fast play - but here Julian and Hadrien have to play in the pocket just to carry the drummer through the faster rhythms. This is a complete no go for band play IMO ...
I disagree. His playing is very good and in time. The kick is just too muddy which makes busier kick parts sound very low, but that's sound engineer fault.
You are confusing the overall muddy drums sound (made for the livestream by an "old style" sound guy who probably doesn't know the reverb has a dry-wet knob) with the real drummer's playing. Gianluca's playing is very precise and sharp and he has a killing kick drum. Plus he's really in tune with what Julian needs for this genre. I suggest you to check the same video remixed by Julian himself on his RUclips channel. The sound coming from the drummer was definitely not set right and very distracting
The audio mix is definitely sub-bar in this video. J3PO has music videos from this set cut into separate videos on his RUclips page. This song is mixed much better on the video on his channel: ruclips.net/video/ySnJGkERxU0/видео.html. Gianluca's playing shines much better there!
