as a 16 year old who struggles with gender dysphoria, i sometimes feel as though i'm being mocked when i see people all giddy about identifying as things like paint, cars, etc. it honestly makes me feel like a joke. but i also know that it's none of my business, so i just keep quiet. it's difficult because i can't really talk about it amongst my peers without being labeled as transphobic. i just feel like, while we should allow freedom and self-expression, we should also have barriers. In grade two there this one teacher who was telling my class that the only way to define who you are by trying out new pronouns. So she bought pins and asked us every day what pronoun would you like to choose. After a day my parents moved me out of that school.

It’s not about power it’s about fitting in. Your thinking of it as way more extreme then it actually is. These children don’t have any power besides TikTok which is basically nothing. What this really is, and I hate to say this to my fellow LGBT members, but it’s kids who have had trouble fitting in, so they create idealised versions of themselves for attention they didn’t receive previously. Honestly from my pov, I'm a trans male, I have buddies that use these "pronouns" and honestly, it's a crazy world we live in, cause growing up in a old fashioned house hold you're either a Male or Female, I'm one of the first people in my family who've met Gender-fluid, Non-binary, any other gender that's not a "traditional" gender. I came out as a man and the reaction I got from my dad was I guess a relief that I "don't use pronouns" I guess he's seen the agenda and he isn't transphobic, but everything is out of hand. Half my friends are like this. If I even mention me feeling weird about it, they look at me like I just spit out 50 slurs. One of my friends identifies as “candygender, catgender, femboygender, etc” she goes by meow/meowself. I tried to talk to my friend about it and I said something along the lines of “I don’t understand it…” and they looked at me with the most disgusted look on their face I’ve ever seen.
One of my coworkers cried every time a customer uses female pronouns for them even tho they clearly present as female (they identify as male but wear makeup, have pink hair, and basically have done nothing to physically transition) 🥱

I have many friends of whom are transgender and non-binary and even they think this is bullshit. as a trans person, i can speak for all of us when i say that we dont accept the people who use, paint, demon, wolf, etc. as pronouns
4:14 no like my friend in high school came out as trans and it was so hard not to mess up. I would accidentally say “she” or “her” or even say he’s real name “Emily”, which I didn’t mean too, It’s just i was so used to saying she/her and Emily, so when that changed to he/him and Oliver it was difficult to remember, so I can’t imagine calling people by pronouns that aren’t even pronouns.
