Jeff Jarrett amazes me. He wrestled before the Attitude era which most of the wrestlers from that time are retired or when they do wrestle it just looks slow and awkward. He's taking bumps and still sharp & wrestling at a pretty high level at 57 years old! 👏 give this man his flowers

The Marina Shaffir character is so dead to me, wtf is she suppose to be? A butler? She haven't even wrestle a single match since all this storyline started of Moxley going rogue on Bryan... At first she looked bad ass... but for like 2 weeks. Now is just a joke.
They're booking her like Chyna but minus the consequences to her actions because they have to be woke with it and make her an untouchable "girl boss". She can beat dudes up and put them to sleep but perish the thought someone actually fights back.

I normally bash AEW on most things they do but I have no issue with this. They are pushing Jarrett for a "final title" run, so losing clean would make no sense. On the other hand, Claudio can't lose clean either because it realistically makes zero sense that a guy in his 50's could beat someone as skilled and jacked as Claudio is, Pro wrestling or not...and it would only make The Death Riders lose momentum and look silly if Claudio lost clean. Therefore, outside interference was the correct finish. It protects both Jarrett and Claudio in the end.
The idea behind the way this match played out is fine, the problem is they had the wrong member of the Deathriders in it. If Jarrett was facing Yuta this would make sense because he is the weak link of the group. As others have stated Claudio needing help to beat Jarrett makes him look weak regardless of Jarrett's championship past, they really should've had Claudio win clean and that would still help MJF prove his point.
I have no problem with them doing a Jarrett chasing the belt story, but you gotta make it logical and they twisted logic up like a pretzel here.

@theSuperviLLain_est Fair, I hated him as a kid when he was in WCW and it always felt like he won with the cheapest of finishes. Was never a fan of the guitar hit, they always looked so flimsy and just shattered all over. Not that he was the first to do it, but he certainly did it for the longest.

Huge AEW fan since day 1, but this match rubbed me the wrong way. Claudio needing a distraction/trying to use a weapon/getting assistance from Mox to win is just pointless overprotection of Jeff fuckin Jarrett in 2025.
The whole death rider storyline has been so boring. Same repetitive thing week after week. All MJF does these days is talk. When was the last time he had a match? The only good thing in AEW right now is Tony Storm, Hangman and the Hurt Syndicate. I miss when AEW used to have feuds like FTR vs Bucks, or FTR vs Briscoes, Elite vs Death Triangle or DT vs HOB. AEW was good when OC was defending the International title day in and day out. Now no title gets defended frequently other than the TBS title. Have the trios champs even wrestled a single match? The last good thing in AEW was Bryan's road to AEW world champion. It's going downhill since then.
